Krogers in Nashville
Hey y'all. Just a question from a single guy in Nashville trying to save money. I've noticed in the deli/butcher area of my local Kroger, they often have chicken or some other meat for insanely cheap. Like today they had re-packaged Tyson chicken breasts three lbs for like 5 bucks. They seem to always have something on special. It's not always as pretty as some of the fresher meat, but it doesn't seem to be spoiled or anything. Is this stuff I need to grab ASAP?

Yes. This is normal for fresh meat.

It is usually manager special priced to help get it out of the store before its best by/use by date when the store can no longer sale it. If you are willing to cook it up the same day or freeze it immediately, it can make for some great meat deals.
