I have to drive by a Kroger every day this week a couple times a day getting my teen to Driver's ed. That's got me hunting for deals to pick up. I haven't been keeping up with the Mega and don't see any Tx posts. What's up with that? Have you'all moved along to shop at Albies or Aldis now?

No just last week I got the 2 oscar mayer hot dogs 6 bar b que sauce 3 canisters of country time lemonade 4 bags of hefty lunch bags 13 hot pockets 1 16 roll (I believe) Scott tp and 3 Gatorade for under $22.... Going again tomorrow to stock up some more before the Daytona deals end.... I usually don't post in the Kroger forum either because I never see Texas deals but with the Daytona I was able to stock up for the first time ever... And when I say stock up, there is only my bf, his son and I.... So that is enough "stocking up" on bar b que sauce and hot pockets for a while! Not the tp or lemonade but again going back tomorrow for 8 more hot dogs, hefty 20 hot pockets and probably some cereal....

Mega event just started this week, and it looks like you new region ads run from Wednesday to Tuesday so as soon as your mega event ad becomes available I'll be sure to post an ad scan for you.

I'm sorry you don't normally post here in the Kroger Forum, hopefully we can change that.

Because you shop in Texas it would be a big help for you to post deals and information to help our forum out.

I live in the Southeast so of course I much more aware of the deals in my area and my co-forum leader is in the Central Region.

As ads become available for me I'll post them. The Southwest isn't available because as you stated the Daytona ad is still running.

I'm new as a forum leader, but I will try and make all Kroger shoppers feel right at home regardless what region you live. I'd love your help let me know exactly what you need and are looking for.

My Kroger isn't as close for me as it used to be and they don't double/triple so I shop there rarely. I've looked on here for match ups but don't see them (I think I'm Southewest, that's what my Savingstar account says). If I happen to go to Kroger for fresh flowers I'll check ads to see what I should pick up while I'm there but not much lately.

Maybe I should have posted a poll. Used to be hot to shop Kroger in TX, but the sale threads kind of stopped here on afc after they quit double/tripling. Since Kroger is close to me now I want to keep informed about their sales.

Oh I wanted to follow up and say that although I haven't posted many deals, I HAVE found quite a few leads from other peoples post.... So I am very grateful to everyone that post in the Kroger forum, although our ad breaks a different time then other areas we (I) get a sneak peek of what's to come and it helps me plan...

Funny I just read this because I was scrolling down the list of and was seeing all the other regions, but not Texas. Two things...I usually read the other divisions while at the same time have my Krogers Texas ad up to compare sale item/prices. Also, one good thing is that in Houston we start our sale on Wednesday when a lot of other people start theirs on a Sunday, so they have found the little secret or quirky deals. Hope this information helps.

wow so glad you posted this because I was hoping to see matchups for the southwest area as well considering thats the region I am in (Lake Charles, LA).

what do you mean the Daytona deal? you can follow other deals in other areas that you dont live in for Krogers or something?

I tend to only look at the ad my deal is under cause I would hate to think something is on sale because of what another division ad said only to find its not when I get there.

Each Kroger region has the same sales. However, the sale start day differ for many regions.

The Daytona sale has ended it ended yesterday the NEW sale is the Mega Event and I posted the CURRENT ad for your region this morning.

My issue is that the threads on here that do list deals and matchups assume that your store still doubles and triples, which ours don't. It's hard to sift through to find out what the deals in our area would be. Takes twice as long.

I'm sorry that it seems to be difficult for you to spy a deal. The matchups I've posted I've tried to simply include the prices and the available coupons so you will have an idea of the prices regardless if you have a coupon or not or if your store doubles or not.

Obviously the deal is going to be cheaper for those who stores double, but I will make it a point to post the price and the available coupons to help you out.

Keep in mind that the Forum Leaders post the area deals in their area so if their store doubles they will indeed mention it. I live in the Southeast and my Kroger stores do double, but I have tried to post the available ad for each region so you will know the price of the items and determine if its a good deal for yourself without mentioning whether or not double or triple coupons come into play.

Keep in mind that prices vary as well from region to region so we can only work with what we have available to us. Let me know if there is anything specific I can do to help you out.

For me it is ALOT easier to spot a deal even if others post that their stores double or triple because even though my stores don't I am still able to get a great deal.... It's easier for me to have some kind of heads up then none at all and be sitting here with all of my local ads spread out trying to "find" a good deal on my own and then trying to find the coupon/coupons to matchup..... Again this is only my experience..

That being said, I don't understand why everyone wants their own regional section. It's so much easier to find all the deals when they are all in one place. I am on the delta region, and I dread having to read everyone's regional sections of the forum just to see what everyone found.

I couldn't agree more, it took me awhile to get used to but once I realized that our ad breaks after the delta region I was kinda secretly thrilled....by time that people in other regions have scoured their ad and found CHEAP and FREE things our ad still has days before it starts.... That not only gives me time to order/ print coupons needed but time to preorder, and I'm sorry but to me it kinda seems like I get to cheat..... I love it, so I hope it doesn't change also...

I used to come to this forum multiple times a week, but now I come here about once a month. I just don't get great deals at Kroger anymore. Like this week, everyone is going ape s about the Huggies wipes, but in an area that doesn't double, paying $1 or $1.50 for a soft pack sucks. You know?

I like to see the Mid Atlantic ad, because it lets me know what items are going to be on sale. I don't really coupon much at Kroger anymore. I definitely don't stock up there anymore, because there aren't any deals really at all. Plus, they keep changing things by store, like my store only allows 3 like coupons, or something like that. Nothing is ever uniform, and they never put a sign up or anything, they just expect you to know.

I just look at the Mid Atlantic ad every other Tuesday, and if there's something I need that's on sale, at least I know to look for the coupon. I don't really look at the prices.

On the older freebie/cheap thread, I would just add $.50 to everything, since those always assumed doubles. If there were 10 items that were free/cheap, it usually worked out to one or two that were decent in my store that doesn't double or triple.

It was just frustrating, because you'd look at it and think "that's a great deal" and then you'd think again and see the Doubled to $1 or whatever. It's a bummer.

I agree with this as well, I can see your point.... I also don't usually "stock up" at kroger and last week is the first time I actually "stocked up" on a few items.... I got the hot dogs, hot pockets, kool-aid/ lemonade, bar b que sauce, gatorade and freezer/ sandwhich bags...... For me those were unbelievable deals...... I only have 3 people in my family but with last weeks deals I was able to also get my sister stocked up on the same items..... There really isn't a whole lot of cheap/free deals I have found at Kroger to date but on weeks like last week it totally sucks me back in..... And I check a few times a day just hoping someone in another region has found a deal that would benefit my family....

I think people in different regions want to be able to chat with each other and post any deals specific to that region.

Keep in mind that when matchups are done they will only be listed in the Southeast Region (because that is the region I live in); however I don't mind posting an ad scan for each region because prices do vary.

So to clear things up if you are looking for matchups they will always be sticked and the region will be Southeast because that is the region in which I live.

You will not have to search each ad scan to find matchups because I will ONLY put them in one area here on the Kroger forum.
