Are the Visa gift cards included in the 4x fuel points? Pay $5.95 activation fee on a $500 card to save $2 per gallon ($35 saving on my full tank). Sounds like a deal to me!

Yes, they are included. I buy one of these just about each week and use it for ALL my cash purchases for the week, drive thru stops, pizza, grocery shopping, CVS, Wags, anywhere that will take VISA. Our Kroger in Great Lakes region has the 4x gift cards often, so it has been great for me. Then I go to the nearest Shell (cheaper than kroger) and get 35 gallons each time. We have 10 acres, so we go through a lot of mower gas.

I was totally bummed when I went in today to get a gift card for Buffalo Wild Wings.. They were GONE! No spot for them or anything. I just checked and they are not in the Kroger online gift card section anymore either.. DARN IT!

I had almost 500 points and it only took off .10 per gallon today - I am a little irate since I filled up and it only took off a couple dollars (not to mention what I went through to use those stupid gas cards from CVS- this was at Shell not kroger, but here Shell lets you use the kroger card to get discounted gas)

Shell will only let you get 10 cents off per gallon... Or at least that is how it is at the Shell stations near me. If I want to redeem all of my points at one time I have to go to an actual Kroger gas station.

This gas fillup should have only deducted 100 fuel points from your total.

Thank you, I sure wish I had known that because of all I went through yesterday. First I couldn't pay at the pump because it won't take the gas cards so I went in to prepay, then she said no, you have to go back out and hit clear, then I went back in again to pay and she said no, you go out and pump, then come back in to pay and I will swipe your card then. I specifically told her I had .40 off coming and she never once said no, it will only do .10. Then it only took the few dollars off and she said it took off .40 (duh, obviously it didn't), then swiped 4 of my gas cards and said that was all it would take (I had two more to use) so I swipe my debit card and it wouldn't take that either (not because I didn't have funds, but apparently you cannot use that many methods of payment) GRRR I was sooo mad, I asked her well how am I supposed to pay for my gas???
So, I am done with those gas cards and only going to get gas at Kroger

Yep, same here. And Shell is right around the corner ~ the closet Kroger gas is about 12 miles away. Really stinks.

The variable load are excluded unfortunately. The $100 gc work, but they give 4x face value, not 4x usual points (because usual points is 2x face value, I was mistakenly expecting 8x face value). I got a $100 visa and $100 mc and earned 800 points. HTH. For me with an 18 gallon tank that is a $14.40 gas discount for $12 in fees, so I made a tiny bit but won't mess with it again on the visa/mc. If I need gc to somewhere else I will get them @ Kroger though.

I wish it included Kroger gift cards. I'd buy $400 and use it for the following weeks for groceries.

BTW, I've mentioned this before, I believe, but dad and I wait until both cars are empty and then go together when we can...they allow us to fill 1 car, leave the pump running and fill the 2nd car...saves $1 per gallon on over 30 gallons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do the points roll over through summer? Like points collected in June and July combine? Trying to figure this one out. $70 saved on 35 gallons is a lot!
