hi there,

i am very confused as this is the first time this has EVER happened. I was in kroger earlier to get some sale noodles and sargento cheese. I had a .50/1 for each item, 8 noodles, and 5 cheese. I was told by tammy, i haven't seen/used her before to check out, that they will only double up to 1/1 for 2 like coupons.

ANyone else encounterred this issue? the MQs DID NOT have any per transaction like coupon restrictions.

Were your coupons Internet Printables or from the newspaper? What Kroger region are you?

Each n every Kroger is different , every store has their own policy ... Usually Kroger has 4 or 2 alike coupons in a transactions ... All u need to do is separate ur transactions

nope they were inserts from a SS - so authentic - i have never had this issue before and i almost wish i would have said just please try scanning as i am SURE the computer would have went ahead and doubled.

If you still have the coupons, you might try taking them back to customer service at that store and hopefully they'll have an explanation or correct the situation for you! Sorry you had this problem.

Our Kroger stores manually stop doubling coupons when the policy is reached.....meaning, yes, our registers would double a lot of the coupons that our Kroger states they won't double (ie, the ones that state do not double), but the cashiers are trained to "stop the register" from doubling them.

If we have a coupon that states Do Not Double, even if it starts with a 5 (which the register WOULD double if just scanned), the cashier will push a button on the register so that the coupon does not double.

It stinks because more and more coupons have those words on them.....it is only intended for the manufacturer to let the stores that do double that they won't be reimbursed double, just face value, but it is a way that our stores around here get out of doubling coupons.

thanks - this makes sense but was so wierd as i haven't had this issue before. i just had them break out the transaction which didn't impact my other deals so all is good. maybe i should ask for the local store coupon policy!

Is Kroger in Urbana in the same district as the Columbus Krogers ? In Columbus they double up to 5 like coupons per transaction . When I shopped at the Kroger in Urbana , they would only double 5 like coupons per card per day . I live in Mechanicsburg , but work in Dublin so I do all my shopping in Columbus because all the stores does the high end doubles .
