I have no clue in the world why they beeped. There is only 1 barcode, so he couldn't have been scanning the wrong one or something like that. I don't know what was going on. I bought 12 (6 of both kinds) and every single coupon beeped. So glad I got a friendly cashier.

This is not correct. A similar situation happened to DH & me today. I still had 200+ fuel points to use from April, and 300+ fuel points for May. When I scanned my Kroger card at the fuel pump, it gave me the choice of "$0.30/gallon discount", "change amount", "$0.03/gallon discount". I chose "change amount" and another screen appeared that allowed me to enter $0.20/gallon discount. After we filled up the car, truck & 2 gas cans to get the maximum of 35 gallons, the receipt spit out and showed that I still had the 300+ fuel points for May.

I think what it is doing is showing you the highest amount you have (current month in our situation) and if you don't override it or use this month then last month before they expire then you will lose them. I think they are 'hiding' your previous points by showing the highest which makes it appear you lose them.
