Saturday is Cinco de Mayo, so I thought we could celebrate with a $5 Kroger gift card giveaway.

What do you need to do?

Just tell us what your favorite Mexican dish is! If you want, you can include the recipe.

A $5 Kroger gift card will be given away May 1 (Tuesday), May 2 (Wednesday), May 3 (Thursday), May 4 (Friday) and May 5 (Saturday) and the winners will be selected daily at random and announced around 9 PM daily.

You can enter once a day, but need to enter a different favorite Mexican dish each day. In order to have more winners, each person can win only once.

enchiladas!!!! This is the way my aunt use to make them...she married a Mexican man.
corn tortillas fried in grease
chopped onions
cheese
red sauce
egg
layer all the items and top with a fried egg and put in oven to melt cheese..we cheat and just layer and eat when we are really hungry.

I know this sounds really gross but is really good and a cheap dinner.

It's a dark chocolate/banana/chile paste sauce that is amazing on chicken and pork!!!

If I knew how to make it I'd list that too!
But for now I'll let momma and grandma make it

Taco quiche!

Brown hamburger and add taco seasoning.
Pour into a pie shell that has been baked for 5 minutes. ( I use a frozen deep dish shell)

In a blender mix together 3 eggs, 3/4 cup
Milk, 1 grated onion, and hot sauce

Pour mixture over hamburger, and top with 8oz sharp cheddar cheese .

Bake at 375 for about 30 min., until knife comes out clean.

Top with lettuce tomatoes and any other toppings you might like!

i love eating that dish but is called chilaquiles..super delicious..maybe is different but enchiladas u Dont put eggs..

a true mexican dish is pozole...if u go to any mexican celabration is a MOST...!!..as to mking it..umm
is a homony stew it can be mk w/ any meat prefer pork..
can b red or green..
ingredients on table r...
lemons
avocado
radish
mexican hard cheese( kind of like parmesan chz)
dry chilies toss inthe stove(wrap them in foil and let them burn a little just a darker color)
tostadas or chips
dont forget to mk and extra hot sauce just in case
u can also use valentina hot sauce...
well i know is a lot of work but well worth in my opinion...dont forget to pick my receipe..

There was a small restaurant in Michigan that made the best taco salads...I was a teen and he ruined me for life!! I can't eat a taco salad without comparing it to his and they just haven't measured up yet.

I love love love fajitas! I get them when we go to the mexican restaurant and I make them at home! LOVE them!!!!!!!

I make chicken fajitas, with lots of onions and green peppers! Top with beans, sour cream, and cheese on a flour tortilla!
