Out of habit I always scan mine beforehand. If I rang it up at the end, I'd be concerned about ecoupons not coming off, or some other problem.

I always have the cashier scan my card before ringing up my order. Not sure if it's true but I heard that is best especially if you have digital coupons.

Well I have to tell you I just did the Kroger P&G today and I forgot to scan my card so I did it after 200.00 dollars plus and she asked me for my card and she scanned my coupons and it went down to 3.23 and yes all my eq came off so I think it really does not matter but if you want to be safe then do it before.

It doesn't matter when you scan your card as long as you scan it before giving the cashier your qs. If you don't your qs will not double or triple. And yes, your e-qs still come off either way.

I usually do it before hand however tonight I should have done it after coupons due to mega sale and bogo coupons. Tomorrow I will scan it after coupons. Would have brought my total down 5 more bucks.

They always ask for mine at the beginning, but it would be nice to wait until the end and see the price drop.

If you have a $25 pharmacy credit on your Kroger card and are using manufacturers coupons, you should scan Kroger card last. If you scan it first, the $25 pharmacy credit is deducted from your card and then you won't get to use your coupons unless the remaining amt. is more than the coupons. In other words, you want to apply your coupons first and then have the remaining balance deducted from your $25 pharmacy credit. The cashiers always roll their eyes when I won't scan Kroger card first and give this explanation as to why, but they then see the light, however very few of them remember this next time I have a pharmacy credit,(which isn't that often)

YMMV!!! Mine WILL NOT double the coupons if you scan the card after the coupons!!! Tested!

I scanned it after my coupons and the cashier got mad at me He said I was saving too much by scanning coupons first and card second. None of my triple coupons worked prior to scanning my card. He forced the triple coupons through. Ugh!

It does matter if your store doubles your coupons. If it doubles or triples your coupons, it will only do it if you scan your plus card.

Usually, the Pharmacy Credit is from redeeming a coupon that's good on any NEW or Transferred RX (worth anywhere from $10-$25+ in "free groceries" by giving you a Kroger gift card or they load the amount directly to your Kroger card) If you're lucky enough to find them they're from the grocery Ad or newspaper.

I type my number in so, I tell them, "I'll type it in after I unload." I they to watch things like the P&G and mega deals ring up, then beofre they scan the Q's I type it in. THat is when theings work the best for me. That way I know the store and I counted the right nukber of items for the deal and then it all comes off.

I always do coupons that have free items so they take off the regular price at my kroger they type it in by hard example if a item is free and it scans $3.99 without the kroger card and say its with the kroger card its $1.99 I want the $3.99 off they dont know if I am using a card or not at that point. So I make $2.00 by using the free coupons then the coupons then the card.
