my hubby was so excited that I was buying cookie crisps. he told me that he wanted that for dinner.

I ended up with 16 boxes (6 Cookie Crisps, 5 Trix, 5 Golden Grahams) for $5.78. I did 2 transactions. The first one I used $2.50 oyno, spent $5.64, got back $8. Second transaction I used $8 oyno, spent $.14, got back $8. Net cost was $.28!!

I'm tempted to go get 8 more.

I went to buy 8 more, I couldn't resist. but my $4 didn't come off for buying 8 participating items. The service desk was closed, so there was nothing that could be done. I'll go back tomorrow to get my $4 back but should I get more then that because of their scan right guarantee? does anyone know? just curious.

I don't know about the scan right deal on the buy 8 get $4. Usually the computer does pretty well. Did you count the (+)'s next to the products? Sometimes you might buy the right size, but it is the wrong size. Like on the kraft, I bought the crumbles and it rang up $4.79 instead of 1.49. that is a big difference and it didn't count for the mega deal so I was short one!!!

I did go by 16 more cereals. 7 cookie crisp, 5 golden grahams, and 4 total!!!

I bought 8 boxes of cereal that all counted (3 trix, 3 cookie crisps, 2 golden grahams). All of them have a "(+)" beside them. The UScan cashier told me that there was nothing that could be done since the service desk was closed. I went ahead a paid because I wanted to get the 2 $4 in cats for the cereal. I figured I would just deal with it tomorrow.

I have no idea about the scan right with something like this. I figure it's worth asking. it seems like you should get something other than just the $4 that you should've gotten to begin with. I don't know though. I may call and ask customer service about it before going to the store tomorrow.

I called CS this morning. I spoke to a really rude woman who kept interrupting me and wouldn't listen to what I was saying. She said that the $4 off wasn't a sale, it was a discount, therefore not covered by the scan right policy. I said "isn't a discount a sale?" she kept telling me that it wasn't. she said, "if it rings up the price on the shelf or in the ad, it's not a scan right issue" and I told her that it wasn't ringing up the price on the shelf, no $4 discount for buying 8.. I wasn't trying to argue, I was just trying to figure out what the scan right policy says about something like this and it was pretty obvious that she wasn't even paying attention, so I asked to speak to a supervisor.

she put me on hold for about 15 minutes. When she came back, she told me that she's spoken to the supervisor and her supervisor agreed that this wasn't a scan right issue because everything "rang up right." I told her that technically nothing rang up right because I didn't get my $4 off. she continued to argue, so I asked to speak to her supervisor again. she told me that she's already done that and I said that I wanted to talk to her. then in the middle of me speaking, she put me on hold.

her supervisor came on and asked me what was going on. first off I complained about her. I don't like to complain about people but she was just rude. then I asked the supervisor about the issue. I explained to her what had happened. I bought 8 items included and didn't get the $4 off. she asked me if I had scanned my card and then asked me several questions about my receipt to confirm that I had. she then told me that the first woman I spoke to had told her that I hadn't scanned my card, therefore the items not ringing up on sale was my fault, not the stores. I completely agree with that.

I explained to her what had happened she told me that this WAS a scan right issue. She told me that they needed to give me one of the items for free and then the difference on the others. I asked what if I bought 8 different items, would all 8 be free? She told me that only 1 item should be free.

I haven't made it back to Kroger yet. Hopefully I won't have too much trouble.

The Dayton area the policy is its free on non perishable merchandise if it scan wrong than the tag even if its expired up to $5.00 on 1 item and the difference on the rest !

If they don't take your Sobe Qs, save them for CVS. They are supposed to be BOGO again next week, so FREE.
