I went yesterday and bought "the usual" LOL. Our Hormel No Beans chili (SW region) is not included in the mega, btw. Also, I keep checking the q-tips but no go. And they've been out of Ghirardelli brownies since the first day of the sale.

Anyway, the grand total was $5.84 at checkout. The cashier was flabbergasted. |

Another awesome trip Ruth! Question though, you're getting the Rolaids 3 packs for .50? Mine were 1.50!

AT my store the price was wrong at them but they rang up $1.00 then - .50¢ so they ended up being .50¢ as I bought other items to add up to 10. Then used the $4/2 coupon and she took off the whole $4. But yes it is the 3 pack of Rolaids. So I don't know if there a way to check to see if your sign was wrong or not but I figured even if they rang up $1.50 - .50¢ using the $4/2 coupon still a money maker so I grabbed 2 as that all the coupons I had but have more coming .Hope that helps.

I am so excited! I sent my parents coupons for the Mega deal and they got them today and went out to do a trip. $60 in groceries and they paid around $12. They were shocked and so excited! They are doing Walgreens deals right now so they will tell me all about it when they are done there. Love it!

I've been twice during the $5/10 and purchased to much to list. 25-35% oop for those two visits. Went a third time tonight and had more on my list (meat+) and still came out saving 47%. What did I do before coupons. I've been doing this since the first of October and can't imagine paying 100%. This Christmas will be a blessed one because of the money we've saved, thanks to AFC. $898 savings so far. My cup runneth over!!! God Bless you all. P.S. I love my Kroger...not once have I had a coupon questioned, nor a rude cashier, or an impatient one (when I was a bit slow). Always eager to show me where items can be found and they always have enough cashiers so I don't feel rushed. Can't say enough about those folks. Kudos

Yikes! 848? I want to go shopping with you. ![]() Here's my trip to Kroger-- 90 mega items and some others on sale. (going from memory, I haven't unloaded the car yet) 4 Surf 3.99- .50 mega- 3.00= .49 each 4 Snuggle 3.99- .50 mega- 3.00= .49 each 18 Hormel chili 1.19- .50 mega- 2.00/3= .22 each 14 bumbe bee tuna .99- .50 mega- (6) 1.00/1 and (4) 1.00/2 =Free plus 3.00 MM 6 bottles Franks wing sauce 1.99- .50 mega- 1.00= .49 each 8 I Can't believe it's not butter items 1.99- .50 mega- (4) 1.00 and (4) .75 = .49 and .75 each 6 betty crocker potatoes 1.49- .50 mega- .40 dbld= .19 each 2 Armour meatballs 1.99- .50 mega = 1.49 each 4 cheez Its 1.79- .50 mega- 1.50/2= .54 each 8 Krusteaz pancake mixes 1.99- .50 mega- .50 dbld = .49 each 8 Ricola 1.00- .50 mega- B1G1 which he keyed in as 1.99 each= Free plus 6.00 MM plus more mega items I can't remember also got 8 Yakisoba noodles .79- .50 dbld= Free 4 Dole mandarin oranges and pineapple 1.00- .50 dbld= Free Total before mega and qs was $184. Got $45 off for the mega sale. Paid $32. Got $4 in oyno cats. The total should have been about $10 lower. The computer started slowing down and finally froze when the cashier hit the total key. They had to mess with it to finally get it to where he could key in the payment. He skipped several coupons and didn't double a couple (not sure if it was intentional, it might have been because of the computer malfunctioning). The bagger was being very chatty and I was trying to not be rude and ignore her so I could watch the screen, so I didn't catch the missed qs until I was already home. 2 were the $3 for surf and snuggle . I usually check before I leave the store if something seems off, but I was ready to go home and didn't this time. I won't be back in town for several days, so I'll have to eat that mistake. Still, a good trip I think. I also hit 2 Targets and got 14 boxes of Kelloggs and Kashi cereal 11 jars skippy peanut butter 3 Archers farms treats 9 bags of chocolate candy (kisses, butterfinger, nerds, m&ms) and a few other small things and paid $14 with gift cards from the glade deal and 1.04 in cash. So about $33 OOP for the day for shopping. I should have gone directly home, but.... I received a flyer in the mail for the 1/2 off 1/2 store and had to stop to see what they had. They were having a fantastic "additional 50% off the store sale" and there were racks and racks of .25, .50, and 1.00 items. I got 40-some things for $54. That included 5 Calvin Klein dresses, 2 Jones NY dresses, Ralph Lauren pants, shirts and shorts, and items from Chicos, Michael Kors, ABS, Lilly Pulitzer, Columbia, J Jill, Ann Taylor, Free People, and more. I love that store! I can't go very often cause the sales usually aren't this good and I can do some very serious damage to my wallet, but they do have excellent everyday deals on great clothes. |
