| First Mega Deal Trip and Walgreen's Quick Stop
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you from the bottom of my heart - from everyone I learned that couponing can be very fun. I have been building this trip up all week because payday was Friday and I was able to go after that. So here it goes - $110 of groceries from both Kroger and Walgreens for $22.47. I got a meriad of items from 1 gallon of milk to frozen veggies, crackers to canned milk, hormel chili, packaged tuna, Yosaba noodles, Pepperidge farm crackers, Dan Active yogurt; many varieties, Uncle Bens Rice many varietes, Rotel tomatoes, Hunts tomato sauce, Campbell's Chicken Noodle soup, and much much more. Just wanted to share and send out a great big Thank you and hug to everyone who helped me accomplish this. ![]() ![]() |

| Its all about multi coupons If you can get a hold of more then one paper or coupon books dont buy items until there on sale. Use different sites Like coupon mom She matches up your coupons for you on sundays, afc, coupon geek and many many more I along with its hard work but it pays off in the long run because you save so much money. I just bought 95 items and only paid .66. Heres something else just because you have a coupon for something you dont use save it because you maybe able to use it on that item and get overage like the coupon she had for the rolaids which I have a ton of the coupon she had was for 4.00 off (2) she bought (20) at a 1.00 each so she ended up with a 20.00 overage Just donate the things you dont use. hope this helps but if you have anymore question feel free to ask me I will be more then happy to help you.

Dang Ruth, even Mr. Ruth blows me away with his shopping skills! Simply amazing! Okay, today was the first time I ever had a problem at Kroger, me and the CS manager or whatever her title was just about locked horns. I won't go into it too much because I'm still very angry - basically she was snatching q's out of my cashiers hands and dropping them all over the place while she fussed and fumed about how I couldn't use more than one 'like' q in an order..blah blah blah...When I cool off I'm writing corporate and as soon as I get a chance I'm going to speak with the GM. Anyway. I'm pretty sure that I got screwed out of several coupons because of her but I ended up getting 270.41worth of groceries for 43.24 OOP That total included 98 cans of vegetables and roughly 15 pounds of Tyson's boneless skinless fresh chicken! My receipt is slightly shorter than I am and I'm 5'4" tall! I also hit 2 HT's and did really well there today too, for 3 hours of shopping I got a total of 364.09 worth of groceries for 57.22 OOP! (142 items!)

Stand your ground....sometimes they act like your taking money out there pockets......I hate the csm that come over to the register and read the coupons and they really dont understand it and say you have to get the one in the picture, when it says state any one excluding trial size.

Moggy, you did Great! Mr. Ruth, never used a coupon before he married me and when we got married my first shopping trip I bought tons of shampoo and he like how much was all that worried and I said free and he said how and I explained it too him and how I never bought anything without a coupons and it had to be on sale too. I should explain hubby didn't know I was a coupon nuts before he married me as we only had 8 dates and didn't see each other for 2 1/2 years when he asked me to marry him . So he was excited about how I shop and he says that is the only reason I am a keeper because how much money I save him. LOL So I taught him everything I knew so I make the list, give him the coupons which is written out on the list that he has a coupon for it and how much the item is before and after coupon, the value of the coupon and how many coupons he has and how many he needs to buy. Trust me you have to write out every step or he doesn't buy it . LOL He now uses online coupons when he buying something on line. So he come a long way .Thanks!

Did 8 orders at 2 stores today. First store everything went perfectly. Here is what I got: 12 Carnation Milk (used .50/2) 16 Halls (used .35/1) 12 Tombstone Pizzas (used $2/1) 1 King sized Reese's 1 Regular sized Reese's 1 Peak Tea 1 Pepsi 20 oz Total before cpns & Card & catalinas that printed = $103.15 Total after cpns & card & catalinas that printed = $9.07 Overage!!! Second store they had disabled all the catalina machines, but I already knew about the catalina deal and actually had one of the cpns that showed the dates. They let my two DD's and I do two transactions each. They gave me cash for the catalinas. Here is what we bought: 72 Hormel Chili (used $2/3) 10 Carnation Milk (used .50/2) 2 Halls (used BOGO tp) 36 Tombstone Pizzas (used $2/1) Total Before cpns, card and cash given for catalinas = $291.20 Total after cpns, card and cash given for catalinas = $19.71 Overage!!! So my grand total today for Kroger is $394.35 worth of groceries for FREE!!!! Plus I received $28.78 in cash & catalinas making this a $28.78 Money Maker!!!! So glad I got a chance to hit this sale today. Was bumbed about being sick and didn't think I was going to get a chance to. But I feel alot better and went back to work today. Now I am playing catch up with the deals. Will be hitting HT tomorrow. Hope you guys and gals left me some stuff!

The woman in line behind me was like "Wait, wait, wait, now I'm confused, what's she trying to tell you? That you can't use more than one coupon even if you are purchasing the items. She said "that doesn't even make any sense." And, she also told the cashier she wasn't allowed to override the q's to make them double if they didn't double automatically. They always have to override about 1/2 of the coupons. And they do not say "do not double" and they always start with a '5.' The cashier said "that's the first I've heard of that." I told her (the CS manager) that maybe I should just go to HT and she said "Fine." Oh, and by the time I finally was able to finish checking out, there were about 10 people in line all looking very annoyed. How embarassing. The cashier was apologizing to me for the CS, that's how bad she was.

Free-38 cent batteries, $1.50 boxes cereal+2 gallons free milk, $1.49 butter, free nestle cookie dough, $1.19 keebler crackers and 26 cent cans of del monte veggies for me this week. Not nearly as good as the mega sale, but it'll be a nice break ![]() I ordered 30 battery Qs, plus the ones I've already got, so we'll be set for all the Christmas toys haha.

Amazing shopping everybody! ![]() This sale was a good one, for sure!We still have 3 mega deal days left (our sales go Wed-Tues). DH and I went yesterday and, after a verbal wrestling match with the 2 CS reps and the manager, got 50 mega items and bread for $14 and got back $10 in OYNO and a $5 giftcard from where the cashier didn't ring up one of the mega items so the $5 didn't come off. I'd love to do the Halls/Ricola deal. I ordered some Ricola Qs for it but other than 4 packs of the Ricola Mixed Berry I found at one store last week, but can't find it again. So I'm using the ICBINButter OYNO to roll into the next order. Plus I ordered some inserts and the person I got them from sent me "bonus" inserts cause he couldn't completely fulfill the order. Now I have 25 more 1.00/2 tuna pouches Qs. I thought I was almost done with them, but now I get to get more. |
