I save 73% yesterday. Going back for gloves, chex and potatoes. Oh, and Keebler cookies. I don't know about anyone else but I'm loving FREE Playtex gloves (really thick, PINK, long ones), Chex Mix, and boxed Potatoes.

Our Mandarin oranges are no longer printing cats (neither the 0.50 OYNO nor the $1/5). phooey. Or, at least it doesn't print when you use the two cats with the next trip.

And I'm loving that I'm getting the pantry stocked up with stuff our local food pantry needs. And my hungry Thanksgiving attendees. Ahhh, it's going to be a good November.

I'm loving this sale.

Last week I was at a kroger just about everyday. I have so far spent $11.57. Used $383 worth of coupons, $200 worth of mega deals and $289 in kroger savings for a savings of $872! I've been giddy since the sale started. I have only stopped in once this week. I'm waiting on the rest of my coupons to arrive.

I want to shop in some of the stores that you all shop in-- the ones that have the lower prices after the mega deal. I'm reading about people getting free surf, snuggle, carnation, cheez its, krusteaz, and more and I'm green with envy.

Can someone please enlighten me on the Chex deal? I am seeing it priced at $1.49 and then I have only seen $.50c/2 coupons.

I am about to hit the stores thoday and tommorrow. I am still tired. the Furnace is out and guess what my husband is going to school for. HVAC. Maybe he can fix it or I will call tommorrow for repair. It pays to think ahead for warranties. By the way I just wanted to thank you for the post it has helped out great before I go. You guys are really great. I hope god blesses you as great for the next year also.

There are printable coupons on coupons.com for $.50 off 1 and e coupons on cellfire and shortcuts for $.50 off one.

our krogers is hour away i had to be out of town so i went in.. i saved

I went to Kroger at the crack of dawn Monday morning to take advantage of the Mega Event ($5 off any combination of 10 participating items.) This means that you must buy groups of 10 of these items.


I spent $30, but $15 of it was 3 boxes of One-A-Day cholesterol formula vitamins for DH. (If anybody knows a better than $5 deal on them, please let me know. He was out, so I bought.)

SO, for $15ish I got:
3 Nestle chocolate chips (.50 each)
2 Welch's grape juice (.99 each)
3 Colgate Total (.50 each)
6 Carnation milk (free)
1 Jose Ole' taquitos (.99 each)
5 chap stick (.50 each)
1 Ricola (.50)
2 Chex Mix (.50 each)
3 Hormel Pepperoni (.99 each)
1 Reynolds parchment paper (.99)
5 Del Monte veggies (.10 each)

Even with the expensive vitamins, the savings were 71%
$107.17 before discounts

Just came from our Dillons here, some of the Mega items here were not the same. Two nights now I have looked for Cheez Its to use on the Mega deal and the q's for $1.50off 2 and they have been out!! Bummer, and they were out of the Chicken Breasts they had on sale, so I got a rain check on those and she didnt know if they gave rain checks on Mega items or not. AND she wasnt real concerned about getting an answer for me. My feet hurt so I left with my chicken breast rain check.

2 chex mix (2 .50 off 1(doubled) and 2 .50 off 1 shorcut ecoupon)
2 BC Au Gratin Potatoes(2 .40 off 1 coupons(doubled) and 2 .40 off 1 shortcuts ecoupon)

Total savings $23.00
OOP $1.72

I went to two stores this morning with no kids.

Store one shopping trip:
4 Packages of Halloween napkins 50 count marked down to .49¢ (saving for next year kids party at school)

1- Value Pack cooked Ham $2.99 (need for kids lunches)

2- Kroger 100% Whole Wheat bread marked down to .79¢ each


All these items are in the mega deal so price is after the $5 off
2 Pepperridge Farm crackers $1.99
coupons $1/1 so paid .99¢ each

4 Rolaids 3 pack all they had $1.00 each
coupons $4/2 took off the whole $4 on both coupons so made $4

10 J&J Dental Floss $1.00 each
coupons $1/1 so FREE


2- Carnation milk .49¢ (all they had left)
coupons .50/2 so FREE

14 Bumble Bee Tuna .49¢ each
coupons $1/2 FREE

8 Kleenex tissues .99¢ each
2 coupons .50/3 doubled
2 coupons Buy 3 get 1 Free upright they gave me $2.29 for the free box
so I paid $1.34 for 8 boxes of tissues or .17¢ each!!!!!

Before coupons and savings my total was $85.42 and after coupons and savings my total was $1.88 and $1.19 of that was tax. I got 47 items for $1.88 not bad.

Ok, here the strange thing he had to give me a hand full of my coupons back as we were in the neg. I kid you not.

My total before coupons and savings was $96.99 after coupons and savings I paid .21¢ yes .21¢ for 56 items!!!!! Plus got a total of 4- $2.00 = $8.00 off my next shopping trip so made money big time. Totally Rocks!!!

After doing six Mega Deals in two transactions on Sunday, I wasn't going to go again so soon, but new Cellfire coupons and a four-day baking sale twisted my arm and lured me back into Kroger for (all prices after Mega Deal $5/10 discount):

4 Carnation milk (4x50¢=$2 - 2x50¢/2 doubled) = 0
2 Danimals (2x$1.49=$2.98 - 2x$1) = 98¢
2 Chex Mix (2x$1.49=$2.98 - 2x50¢ doubled - 2x50¢ eQ) = -2¢ (over)
1 Betty Crocker Potatoes (99¢ - 40¢ doubled - 40¢ eQ) = -21¢ (over)
1 Halls Mentholyptus (50¢ - 35¢ doubled) = -20¢ (over)

2 Eggland's Best 18-ct eggs (2x$3.79 BOGO free = $3.79 - 2x50¢ doubled) = $1.79

Total: $2.54, which is supposedly a 92% discount, as if any of us would really pay $27 for 12 items. As if!
