My local Kroger was running a special today that works like this -- buy 10 (mix or match) of featured items, and get an additional $5.00 off your entire grocery bill with your Kroger Pluscard.

By the time all of my discounts were added up, I saved $18 on a $40 (then $22) bill. And I didn't even have any mfg coupons!

I live in the SE US.

10 cans Del Monte tomatoes
Mega sale price is $.79. I have 2 $1/5 Q, so each can will be $.39
3 Chex Mix
Mega sale price is $1.49. I have 3 $.50 Q, so each bag will be $.49
1 Aussie hair product
Mega sale price is $2.50. I have a $1 Q, so it will be $.50
1 Welch's Grape Juice
Mega event price is $2.99. I printed a $1 Q, so it will be $.99
1 Frank's Sauce
I have a .50 Q and a $1 Q, but am not sure which version of Frank's will be on sale, so this might be free, it might be $.99

I still need to buy 4 more items, so I might be updating this!

I have some Dannon Q, but not sure which ones will be on sale...

I spent yesterday planning what I'd get today as soon as I dropped the kids off to school today. Unfortunately, I've a sick little girl at home, so maybe tomorrow.

And I can do the deal an unlimited # of times in 1 transaction
Snuggle, cheezits, ballparks, all, activia, aussie, kotex, ricola, listerine, tylenol, aquafresh toothbrushes are all on my list for dirt cheap.
