Kroger posted a note at the time clock. The will only double 3 of each value coupon. IE:3-.25, 3-.35, 3-.50 per transaction!!
Am I behind or is this new? Not good for the mega sale stock ups!

Well the better be posting that as you enter the doors to the store. I haven't been there since they tripled but had i not heard this from you, i would have tried to used whatever coupons I had like it's always been....They need to let their customers know....

Now that I re-read this... Do you mean 3 like coupons? Or (3) .50 coupons period? Say a .50 for crackers .50 for cereal, and a .50 for soup, and the rest of the .50 are redeemed at face value.

If the latter, holy cats!

yep say you have 6 -50 cent q's they will only double 3 the rest will just be 50 cents off! Totally new policy the staff is mad b/c they have to deal with the customers. Don't know ho the customers will know since I hbave not sen it posted!

I do not know how long this has been in effect but I was very careful to only use 3-.25,.35,.40 and .50 yesterday!

They will be losing $$ for sure~!

We always limit ourselves to 3 like coupons for specific items because that was a store's rule where we shopped at years ago.
We now shop mainly at Fry's (Kroger) and thankfully they don't have any limits of coupon use. In fact for a limited time they are accepting any coupon with a face value under $1 and will deduct $1 from the item. That includes 10, 20 and 30 cent coupons. So quite a deal if you have some older no expire coupons in your stash.

To tell the truth, I have not had much 'pleasure' dealing with this Kroger. They are high on most everything. They are gradually raising prices on regular material and replacing it with "Kroger Brand" merch. I get the feeling that all they want is for you to buy their products and no one elses. This would just be another way of getting you to buy their brands. They REALLY don't want coupon people. They want mice. That and I have found that outside of the Pharmacy (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !) most of the employees are in a world of their own and generally CS is a pain. They want ZOMBIES !
The sad part is, I find a nice selection of coupons generally that I can use at Meijers !
Of course, now, after being in there 3 times today, I am mad at myself for not seeing this sign !! I think I will just wait until I get more drugs. . Why would they put it by the time clock ? Kind of an odd place for it. Most customers would never think to look there. How big was the sign ? Was it meant for the general public or for employees ?

I think a lot is left up to the managers at Kroger stores. I have one across town that will only double 1 coupon for the same item, the rest are at face value.(double .50) The manager of the store told me that it prevents people from purchasing a buggy full of items and reselling them. I don't shop at that store unless I'm in the area and only need a few items. The Kroger a few miles from my house is absolutely wonderful about coupons. I've never tried using more than 10 for the same type item but have never had a problem, they all doubled. They have a lot of 10 for $10 sales and I have gotten 10 free deodorants with coupons and repeated it a day later. I try not to get too many of the same items in one day. The only time I've not been able to use a coupon is on their clearance items, and the cashier was very apologetic that she couldn't allow me to use it, and explained that it was against their stores policy.
Kroger and Publix are two places I never seem to have any coupon issues and it makes shopping there a pleasure.

Depends on the moon alignment at my store...makes for difficult shopping. Some will double all of them - others tell me only 3 like kind.

I'm thankful my Kroger doesn't follow corporate rules. We are not limited on the amount of like coupons and unlimited doubling up to .50. Knock on wood.

They just started to limit ours to 3 like coupons. They didn't post anything on the doors letting you know. However they did state their new coupon policy on the bottom of the sale ad. I would have missed it except for another money saving blog that I follow had posted the recent change.

Just stop shopping there for a while also you can bring the family in to shop like I do. When you have three or more people who go in several times. This seems to change the attitude problem that the people have. Get a bunch of your friends to do this a few time a week and they will change thier policy after a while. It seeme they have this attitude that you are taking from other customers. I feel like this if someone wants something then they should be there when the sale starts. I make the effort

Our Kroger has only doubled ONE like Q since Dec of last year! It drives me crazy to see what good deals you guys get. I don't shop there much any more because of this.

I feel lucky, my Kroger hasn't imposed any restrictions so far. I even had the assistant manager check me out on Sunday and when he saw 20 packs of razors he said "you must have some good coupons" - I said "Yep" When he was done ringing my order and q's he said "That's not bad for all of that!" I love my Kroger.

I wish my kroger wouldn't do the 3 like coupons thing. But on the other hand, I'm kind of glad they do. They double $1 coupons, and I love that. I can only imagine the aisles would be cleaned out if they let people have a coupon free for all. It's slim pickings a lot of times, but more times than not, I'm able to get what I'm looking for, and go back the next day. If I'm too tired/lazy to go back, then I'm just not going to be stockpiling that week (I will be living there this week) :P
