Maybe the Kroger stores in my area have higher prices because they triple $0.39 and under? I have noticed other stores in different states that don't triple like mine do tend to have lower prices on sale items. It could be just a coincidence though.

If our Kroger prices are high, then I bet you only go into Randall's when there's an amazing deal! ROFL They don't ever seem to have good enough deals for me.

I wish my Kroger would Dbl and Tpl more then one like item. They took it Dbl's up to 1.00. I have to do many trans to get my savings. there is nothing like checking out then going back in line to do it again. I see to check out at least 6 times. Wish I had 200 mac and cheese.

Made just a quick trip this afternoon before I had to pick up kiddos. Had the friendliest cashier ever, worth sending a note to her mgr. I'm fortunate our Kroger doubles up to $1, and you can double 3 like coupons. Coupons under .50 are unlimited in doubling. Wanted to show the hubby what I could do with $10 :P 3 nestle cookie refrigerated doughs- $2.50 ea-- .50 ea after $1 coupon (Daughter has a bake sale coming up... I can't make 2 dozen cookies for 50 cents) 12 chicken noodle soups- .50 ea-- .30 ea after .40/4 3 Dole fruit bowls- 2.20 ea-- .70 ea after .75 off 6 suave shampoos/conditioners- 1.28 ea-- .28 ea after $1/2 $33.96 worth of stuff $9.45 in mfc $9.45 in bonus q $5.90 in store q and savings For a total of $9.16 Not my best trip, but still equal to only 38 cents an item. |

Had a great trip at Kroger today! In addition, got my $5 off with the buy 10 deal! Here's what I bought: 11 Healthy choice and marie callendar meals (just mixed/matched) (used 2-$2 off 4 HC meals, 1-$2 off HC meal, and 1-$2 off 2 MC meals) 2 pk C batteries 2/$5 (used 2-$1 off qs) 1 8 pk AA batteries 5.69 (used $2 off) 2 Gerber Graduate meals for the munchkin (on sale 2/$4) (didn't have q's) 2 Green Giant Steamers (used 1-.40 off, 1-.50 off) In all paid 23.31 for everything and it would've been cheaper if I hadn't gotten the Graduates. The batteries may have been a bit high and I'm sure I'll get better deals around Christmas, but I thought I didn't do too badly after having only been doing this for about a month.

.38 per item! wow! I have been averaging about $1 per item which makes me jump for joy but my goal is to get under $1 per item, like around .75 but .38! well I guess it was a smaller order so I guess it might be easier to keep it lower. You said your kroger only doubles 3 like items for $1 but unlimited for less than $1,,,where in MI if you dont mind me asking I shop Flushing or Mt. Morris and I wasnt aware of that (kind of new to this)

Peggy 822....I'm also in Flushing! Such a small world! I have been going to Swtz Crk due to the "rude" cashiers in Flushing.

I have been able to get those large, Kroger brand, boneless chicken breast packages for half price during the sales. So I have a freezer filled with them. It is the meat buying that will jack up the cost of my trip. |

The skinless boneless chicken breasts are a steal at $1.69 lb. I've loaded up on those.

| I find it so odd that the local Krogers in the Dallas area have no real set of rules about how they honor coupons. It is ridiculous. Does you stores ad clearly state they only take one coupon, per item, per transaction? I learned from a local Kroger manager, if the Kroger Ad that covers your local store advertise that they do the triple/double coupons daily... and it does not clearly state it will only honor ONE coupon, per item, per visit... it is consider fraud to turn your other coupons down for the like item. It has to clearly state their guidelines, that they will only accept one. This is why so many stores have gone to limiting 3 per item. But those stores have to clearly state that, in order to do it. So point of this very long post... the store that you shop seems to have issues with coupons in general. And I suspect a phone call to one of our local News station, they would take up this cause. They LOVE to go after local business that are obviously screwing the consumer over in this economical down turn. Say like Fox News on Channel 4 and their reporter Raul. That man loves to embarrass local businesses that think they don't have to follow the rules. So if Krogers got embarrass locally, I suspect the coupon issue you face would stop. |

| They're all yours! PM me your address and remind me next time they come out. I don't see any current ones on the coupon list here. The ones I had put aside seem to have a 9/2/09 exp date on them - guess it's time to throw them away. LOL. (Oh, and they're $1/1, too!)
