You need to have a card that actually says "kroger plus rewards". If you have the old style cards you will neec to sign up again.

I called 1-800-krogers and was told if you don't have the new card, whne you get it, you can link it to your old one and not lose current rewards

nope it's not...that's the card I have and I have to get a new one, just called customer service to see how it would affect my currnet rewards

I went to krogers today and asked for the new card and the cashier said there was no such card. I was going to ask customer service, but line was too long. I'll try again next time i'm there.

The cashiers may not know. I know my store has had the "new" card for almost a year now anyway. I would ask customer service and show them your older version. They will know!

i just called kroger. they said that program was available only to the mid-atlantic area.

Yeah, how it's supposed to work is that you get 1 point for every dollar that you spend. When you get 500 points, at the end of each quarter (I think) they send you a $5.00 coupon plus $1.00 coupon for each additional 100 points. These 2 weeks they've had a promotion where if you spend $20 in PG & E products in one transaction, you get 400 bonus rewards points. And don't forget to load the PG & Esaver ( I think other states call them shortcuts) coupons onto your cards for overage on the febreeze noticeables, But I just learned yesterday that the esaver discount does not apply towards the $20 that you have to spend.

I can hardly wait till it comes my way. I spend a lot at krogers. It says thanks for being one of our very best customers on my receipts. ( unless it says that on everybodys) I even get coupons for free stuff from krogers all the time, last year i got a coupon for a free turkey, no weight limit or anything. It said thanks for being one of our very best customers. So, i would love for this new card to get to texas fast.

I just got off of the phone with them and they said this is only for the 1-2-3 Mastercard rewards program. Is that correct?

In certain areas it is. But some states have it with just your Kroger card. Right now it's mid-atlantic states.
