do you think that is all of the stores? like King soopers as well? I am not senior citizen but my mom is and I would like to tell her about this but don't want her to full embarrassed if they don't.. Kohl's also does this on Tuesdays but I think it is 15%

In my Kroger store....GA.....the Senior Discount Day is Wednesday and the senior age is 60. I'm pretty close to 60 so they all scan the Senior UPC from their reference lookup area. If they don't I speak up and say, "Don't forget my senior discount" and they always scan it for me without question. I only found out about the 60 age a few days ago. I know it used to be 55. They must have upped it when so many baby boomers started to hit 55. I love to get the 5% on top of using my coupons.

In NC it is def. 55 and you just go to CS show your ID and they link it to you card so you nevr have to ask for your discount it just comes right off.

Hi Bette - This is my first post. I was really interested in getting a discount for being a senior. I did call corporate to verify the information. To my horror I was told it goes according to the region you live in. In Cincinnati, you get a 10% discount at the pharmacy if you don't have insurance - no other senior discount. Please make sure you call the corporate office to verify your region participates before going to the store. 1-866-221-4141

At my Krogers you have to have the buckeye gold card. They won't do at 55 you have to be 65.

I haven't noticed it in SW Ohio either and fortunately I am still well under 55(would be great to get the discount though). I am curious about the post that they link it to your card because my Mom gave me her extra card when we lived in SC and would come back home to visit(don't tell but she is over 55)....so that would mean I would probably get her discount... maybe?? I think I need to call the Urbana store again, their doubling policy is much better than the stores in town so they might do the discount too.

I checked with the service desk at our Kroger a week or so ago when I first read this thread. The 3 gals hadn't heard about a sr. citizen discount day. I kinda forgot about it. Yesterday I ran across the thread again and decided to call the main office. The lady I talked to said that our region (Great Lakes) does have a sr. citizen discount but she didn't see where it said what day of the week. She said you have to be 62. She advised i check with management. I talked to our store manager today. His answer was, "Oh really? Guess I had better make a phone call." Maybe he should join A Full Cup so he can see what is happening in his store!

Arizona Fry's (Kroger) is 1st Wed only and 10%. Don't remember the age requirement because we signed up several years ago. That's a bummer to find out other Krogers have it weekly.
