I had a really grouchy old man the other day who literally searched the screen for every item BEFORE scanning my coupons and was a jerk in general, then rejected some coupons. I didn't have time to argue much with him but I want to know if they have an official policy anywhere? I know my store will usually accept expired coupons (found this by accident ) but the older cashiers act like coupons are theft and scrutinize every one. I'm about ready to stop shopping KS at all! I usually hand pick my cashier but this time my young male cashier got pulled to bag and this old guy replaced him halfway through my transaction

Sorry you had a rough time some people just don't understand coupons at all.
I don't think there is a universal policy because some King Soopers stores will not accept expireds (mine won't) some have limits on how many coupons you can use, different stores have different doubling policies, and in general it really depends on the cashier. I have had wonderful cashiers and grumpy ones. I learned to pick out the nasties. I hope you have better times there!!!

Yeah, I don't know if the expired thing is supposed to happen but the registers don't seem to kick them out. I try not to push my luck on them but do slip in a few each visit. :P The young, ungrouchy ones usually don't even look and if the register doens't prompt them to do something they blindly scan away.

our store has a policy of 3 like coupons. Not that every body pays it any heed. No expired they shoud beep. Double up to a dollar. Come thru my line I'll try to treat you right. (:

My King Soopers says they honor expired coupons up to a month late. They don't care if you use more then 3 like coupons. I called and was and asked and was also told this by several cashiers while talking. I have never had a rude cashier, or a cashier that really even pays attention to the coupons. They are great with coupons and I have never had any problems. It is off of 136th and Colorado in Thornton.

I also shop at 136th and Colorado..Awesome cashiers and service in there. Anytime a coupon beeps they just push it through. Have used 10 like coupons at a time many more times than I can count. I didnt know they honored expired coupons though. Nice to know!

I don't know if it's official policy to accept expired Qs or just that the registers haven't been catching them? I'm selective with my Qs since we use only certain brands (mostly organics, for which there are never coupons!) and had a bunch of Rudi's bread Qs last summer and hadn't realized they'd expired - the exp date was hidden in the fine print. I used a bunch one day and was going to return to buy bread to freeze and noticed my Q's had expired a month prior. I tried very tentatively with some the next time and they went through fine, as well. I try not to "push it" but usually have at least a few expired Qs each trip and have never noticed a beep.

My store is in Lafayette.

ETA: My original question was posted because of an issue with B!G! free pricing and Qs. My former store ast mgr (Highlanrs Ranch) pointed out to me long ago that I could use 2 coupons when buying a BOGO since I am purchasing two items and I"ve always done this ever since w/o issue until Mr. Coupon Hater a few weeks ago who checked that every item was present prior to scanning the Qs. He turned back a bunch of Qs for Kashi waffles because they were BOGO and said it was fraud to use Qs on the "free" item. I think that's nuts (if it's BOGO at $3.99 or 2/$4 the price is the same but one allows 2 Qs while the other only allows 1 because one items is "free"?) but wanted to see if there's an official word anywhere.

At my store the register beeps when I use two B1G1 coupons on a B1G1 sale. I don't know why, because all I am doing is matching the store sale with my coupons.
