I had it in my head today that it was the 8th, so I took my vouchers in to redeem them.....oops! Tomorrow is the 8th, but they decided that they wanted to see how it worked anyway, so they'd give it a whirl for me.

My Kmart people are wonderful!

So, at the service desk I was, and she rings my card, then the vouchers, and then nothing prints out but a receipt and a CRT (the one for the cards, nothing important! ), but no coupon for the picnic stuff.

Then she decided that since there are no "paper vouchers" like the turkey deal at the service desk, that she will try it over at a register that has a catalina machine (the service desk does not have one)....out pops the coupons, one each for the free hot dogs, the free buns, the free chips and the free pop.

After all was said and done and I had my catalinas, I kindly offered and gave them away to her. Just a RAOK because I honestly didn't need them, but figured I'd go ahead and save the vouchers anyway, and if I ended up with enough, I'd redeem them to give away, and I did.

Just a heads up.....the vouchers say to take them to the service desk to redeem, but they need to be redeemed where there is a catalina machine (my store only has the machines at registers).

So, we probably can use the food to get to the $25 mark to double 5 coupons and get the free capri sun for this weeks freebie. Hope theres some good things to use the double coupons on.

Did this this morning. Complete fail. Took over a hr and 3 ppl and they still couldnt figure it out. They finally gave up and just let me take the stuff and said they would figure it out later. All the Kmarts are gonna have such a hard time today with these in my area....there are like 1million couponers here.

Tried to do the picnic voucher today and the service desk/store manager had NO idea how to redeem My store also had ZERO packages of buns and very few hot dogs. I'm hoping if I wait a couple days a.) a truck will come in and b.) someone else will be their guinea pig for how to get it to work.

On a plus note though, I did take advantage of the 50% off toys. Got an awesome Star Wars playset for my son for Christmas (originally $40 paid 14.99) and a Hot Wheels Playset (originally $20 paid $6) for a friend's bday coming up next week. Everything else in my order was free after coupons, CRT and $5GC from last week (including 2 bags of pup peroni, capri sun, meal deal, 2 boxes of cereal, a bag of smart sense chips- they were handing out free coupons for those as you walked in- some candy and a huge thing of Folgers for the hubby) Awesome trip today )

I went this morning to get my two picnics and they ha no idea how to process them. They asked for my name and number so they'd get back to me in a week or so I asked for a manager who just ended up giving me the stuff and writing all the UPC numbers down...it took forever, she apologized and said the store manager hasn't informed them of any part of it.

For all those having trouble with their Kmart not knowing what to do, from what I can remember, this is how my store had to do them.....

Has to be done at a register that has a catalina machine.....

Scan SYWR card first,
Scan a voucher, I'm pretty sure she had to put in $0.00 afterwards,
Scan the next voucher, put in $0.00,
.....do all 5 like that.
Then total out (will be $0.00), and we made sure I hit the Print and eReceipt button, and out came all of the catalinas for the free picnic stuff.


From my understanding, there are no "voucher/certificates" at the service desk for these like there was with the Turkey deal, so it really can't be done at the service desk if it doesn't have the catalina machine there like most.

Thanks for all the steps. CS at mine tried at the regular register for me, but were stumped as to what to do when it prompted for an amount. They, of course, swore they must be getting vouchers, but I knew there must be a trick. I'll hopefully get it to work tomorrow and then they'll know what to do for others.

of course after they scanned the items and used the cats it didn't come to zero and they had to get the manager over.... LOL... but i didn't expect it to go smoothly as this IS kmart and if there is one thing they know how to do that is how to mess up!

Got my store to figure it out today. They have to enter $0.01, not $0.00 for it to work. Mine expire 8/4!! Woohoo!

I believe mine were 8/4. I redeemed them yesterday. I used them though so I am not 100%

Yes I bought the picnic deals and used my vouchers and bought a few toys 50%off to reach the $25 and got the free capri sun. The only issue I had is when they scanned the Smart Source Chips voucher it didn't work and the buns voucher didn't work. They had to do some reworking and ring things up at .01 and then the capri sun coupon didn't want to work because they changed my price on items so I ended up having to go to customer service to get refunded for capri sun. If they wouldn't have overrode prices the coupon would have worked.

My Kmart did not know what to do, either, and finally just let me take the stuff out of the store, saying they would figure it all out later. I wasn't sure about the soda, whether it was supposed to be bottles or 12 packs, and the girl said to take the 12 packs. They only had two packages of Wonder rolls, so the girl also let me take another bag of chips. All in all, I felt I made out well.

Yesterday, my store did not have most of the items, so I was able to get groceries up to the $20 mark, SCORE! , insane....I still have a few more to do, I will be at another store today to see what they do. =)
