My Kmart won't let me use the $10 crts and the $3 cats or $5 cats from last week together. Anyone know how to get around this? If not, what do you guys suggest using these on? I don't really want to do the kc deal with $3 or $5 when I have $10 crts to use. What do you guys suggest?

I'm not sure where you live, i live in Las Vegas and my Smith's (Kroger) lets me use the manufacture catalinas from kmart and everywhere else there. I use most of my Walgreens and Kmart catalinas there.

Will they let you use them if you have something in your transaction that doesnt have a coupon that they can apply it to? I sometimes purchase a koolaid for .10c so that the cat's have something to attach too

Exactly. I throw in a $0.10 koolaid packet. Then they need to only scan the short barcode. It should work fine. If you can convince them to try to scan it.

Yeah pointing out that its a manufacturer coupon always helps but yes you can also spend those at other stores exp Krogers.

Use the Kool aid (.10) and have them scan the short bar code ... Works perfectly

Yes they have to cover the longer bar code or it say amount and when they enter 3.00 it won't take it. But when they scan the small one it lets them pick an item. Kool aid is an awesome filler.
I've also used some smaller CATS & the 5CRT (from dove) to get some ant killer and other garden stuff. I have $50 in gift cards that I plan to use on ME!! Yes all MEEEEEE! I don't do that often enough, and hey I deserve it after the last 2 Kmart weeks.

Before I knew about the trick of having them "scan the short barcode", the small cats would not go through for me either, no matter what my cashiers did it seemed. BUT, after someone pointed that out on here (sorry, can't remember exactly who did!), it has worked like a charm ever since!!

I've used 3 of them WITH a $10 CRT even!!!

But, if you still have trouble using them and need to spend them by themselves (like I had to do prior to knowing about the short bar code trick), I've bought 2 packs of the 100 count foam plates at 2/$5 and used the $5 cat on those. I've also bought the meal deal with a kool-aid pack and paid just pennies using the $3 cats (when the meal deal is buy OM chicken at $2.99 get other stuff free).

Hope you have some great cashiers like I do and just have them scan the short bar code......when they got to my cat, I just excitedly and happily said to them that I heard that those will work if you fold it so that only the short barcode scans, and they try it and it works, making us all happy! LOL!

My stores seem have gotten the same training on this and their usage. Apparently, only 1 can be used at a time, per transaction. Wondering if they are making this rule nationwide. I don't some of these stores often, so it is weird when they all have told me the same thing this past week. I will keep trying though, .

Oh my gosh!!!! You guys are awesome!!!! I went to Kmart today and got $57 worth of products for $7, and I got a free tool bag and a $10 CRT to boot because I folded my cats and asked the cashier to scan the short bar code!!!!! Thank you guys sooo much! I love a full cup because I learn so much from everyone! Thanks again!
