Went shopping at Kmart today and was checking my points balance on my receipt after my purchase and noticed that I had 5,000 points expiring today. Now I was shopping last week and was watching my points and my points balance was higher than it was on my last trip and I know I shouldn't have any points expiring. I had checked my email this morning before going out and no special emails about bonus points from Kmart. So, I called SWYR from the store (long wait by the way) and was told that I was awarded the 5,000 points on 6/8 and they needed to be spent by 6/11 in the Electronics dept.

So - check your account before you go shopping, cause apparently they are not very good at notifying you of these. I know I would've been really upset if I hadn't noticed this till after I got home and I had just been there. Don't know if I would've driven all the way back for that.

I am there so much lately, I know what my balance is most of the time and I spend them as quick as I receive them! !

I did check it last week and ended up with an extra $10 in points as an adjustment. No idea why and I am not asking.

Where does it say when they expire? Im looking on the sywr website & dont see the expiration date on the free points for electronics.

My first notice that they expired 6/11 was right on my first receipt - said "Points Expiring 6/11/2012: 5,000".

When I came home and checked my account history on SYWR it said: 5,000 points for being a valued member-redeem in Electronics - doesn't mention an expiration date. According to the person I talked to on the phone, she said I should've gotten an email on 6/8 regarding these bonus points which I didn't. So going by this - you might have 3 days to redeem from the date they post on your account.

I didnt receive an email either, but do see that it was posted in my acct on the 8th. So it probably expired today. Too bad kmart closed 15 minutes ago. Oh well.

Wow what time does your Kmart close? 8pm? If so that is EARLY

It closes at 9, wish it was till 10 (at least for today) so I could run over & take advantage of this deal. But oh well there will be a next time
