i went in today trying to get the off cutter and deeps woods insect spray (for people since they eat my littlest child alive). i had coupons for each and even had a back up coupons (not internet prints), at the register the woman informed me before we even started "if they dont scan we cannot take them" .... i had faith they would scan so i had 4 cans of deep woods and 2 cans of cutter spray , not ONE coupon scanned, i even traded them for the newpaper coupons and THEY WOULD NOT SCAN.... do u all have these problems?? they pushed ONE of the cutter coupons through so i made them take the rest off and left with just one can, wart stuff (need for daughter) and the free oreos.....i was very irritated, i have never been refused coupons like that, even newspaper coupons....i of course took them to a local grocery store (didnt feel like a walmart run) and they scanned without problems..... so how do i couponing at kmart like this??? is the a common occurance??

Yes. They have no organzation, the staffing and training are terrible, the equipment is outdated. Kmart is always a crap shoot if anything will actually work.

i wish i had known that.....i was just lost myself, it was 4 ppl before they decided they could take the one and would not even consider the others....the one scanned but didnt show up. i think i will avoid kmart with coupons, i just thought i could do well with the doubling 5 coupons (right?) up to a dollar.... the one they took was a dollar and they did double it.....thought it was going to be a store i could love.....

Kmart is a CRAP shoot. You go in knowing that there is a decent chance you will have to explain to the lady/ gentleman at the register how to use the register and there is a good chance something will go wrong...

I expect at least 1 transaction per visit to go wrong... some how they screw it up... today they screwed up 2!

I get good deals there anyway, so I try to be patient and realize that they work there for low pay, and don't get great training, so half the time I just tell them what buttons to press.

How true! I cannot count the number of times I have had to tell the cashier which buttons to push to make the transaction work. Lol!

If you have other Kmarts nearby try them. Every store is different. Also, try another shift. It also wouldn't hurt to ask to talk to the store manager.

It's not a good idea to go when you're already tired or stressed. You almost have to plan for problems and allow extra time.

i had wanted to just pick up wart stuff and the insect spray on sale, i had the time, i was very kind to the cashier, there was another woman telling him, he coulnt do this and that....i might try it again after rethinking, maybe try another kmart

Trying another shift works magic! Typically we can only go at night; however, when my husband was on vacation one week we went during the day and the difference was amazing! Which is kinda funny because at our Kroger it's better to go at night. So we try to go in the day to KMart now whenever possible...
