I called the number on my rewards card and got nowhere with them. She just keep sayin i understand ur frustration. I ask her if he card was negative and she didnt say anything. I replied yep then u dnt understand. I then called my local kmart and the girl i spoke to had no idea this was going on she was callin her manager and the. The rewards people herself she took my number and told me she would call me in the morning about fixing this. She also says to me. Do they not understand they are running our customers away? Yes they are. I shopped kmart last week for the first time and did ok without them. I had 9.00 in points and. Now am negitive 8.00. And how can they. Charge you for there mistake. I am in management ( not at kmart) and if we make mistakes we fix it and we dont take back what we messed up.

I was just checking back on this issue....I haven't called at all even.....I've been busy all day today....but I just went back into my account and now says -503,000 points......WTH! $503?

I am going to call tomorrow since they are closed now. But this is getting ridicious......I will be switching over to my other card if that is the case. No way I am going to let them take the $503 from me. Wonder what happened between yesterday and today.

That is what I need to figure out - is how much returning the stuff is going to cost.

I used CRTS to pay on some transactions (and paid OOP too). I also received GCs on some transactions (for $50 and for M&Ms).

I have done some thinking overnight and I think Kmart better clean up this mess or they could get into some legal trouble with this. Because not ONLY did they take away the bonus points I got from the P&G products BUT they took away the bonus points I got from buying legitmate deals for Dove, Rimmel, Schick etc. Those were offers that were advertised and I should get to keep my points for those offers. So their math is way off and I have each and every receipt to prove it. They shouldn't have the power to take away something I already earned. Why should I be punished for their mistake on the P&G and then also loose all my other points.

So whoever went it and just wiped out all our points without determining what was from P&G and what was from other offers did the wrong thing. And they should get into some hot water over it if it's not fixed ASAP.

I plan to go to Kmart and buy a 10c package of Kool-Aid so I have written documentation of my negative points. I may need it at some point. I also printed out my negative balance from their website.

Also one poster on here said she didn't even do the P&G deal at all and her points were taking away. That's not right at all.

As I said one poster here said she didn't even do the P&G deal at all and her points were taken away. That's not right at all. She said she didn't have the money to do the P&G deal. So I wonder why her points where taken away? Did someone just go in and eliminate EVERYONES points. Some people are on fixed incomes and they might have only done a deal beause of the points they could count on. Well now they have NO points. We ALL getting screwed here.

I have NEVER heard of any retailer making a mistake and making their customer suffer the consequences from it. It just not good business and it going to come back on them somehow. I have 2 businesses and I have made mistakes. It's almost impossible not to make mistakes. BUT I have NEVER nor would EVER make my customers suffer for it. That is just crazy and I wouldn't even be in business IF I did something like that.

And I'm sorry I refuse to even call these Kmart reps anymore. This is WAY over any of their heads at this point. And they seem to be making it even worse now. They kind of stuff they are telling their customers is shocking to say the least. They should just be telling people they are going to pass it on the corporate. Not be telling people they need to charge their credit cards for THEIR mistake. I would just get even more frustated at this point talking to any of them.

I have fought my local city hall and won on 2 different matters. If I have to battle Kmart I will. I have spend thousands of dollars at their stores and I'm a gold member because of it. Why would they want to risk losing me after spending that kind of money? And why should I have to switch to a different card and lose my gold member status. That is what I'm really fighting for at this point. I'm not going to lose what I have worked on for over a year now. It's not right. And I will do whatever I have to settle this matter. In the meantime we have to sit here and get screwed because we can't even use our Kmart cards at this point. We wouldn't even want to. I'm not trusting them that what I buy that will give me points will be ok. How can we trust anything they say at this point. I need to hear from someone high up at Kmart.

Edited to add: I have a REALLY good business attorney who has helped me over the last 25 years. IF this matter isn't taken care of soon I will be contacting them.

For those of you who are saying about returning product. You might find this useful. Go to one of your e-receipts and at the top it should look like this

Dear Debbie,

Thank you for shopping at our Springfield store, and for letting me assist you with your purchase.

This eReceipt is a convenience exclusive to Shop Your Way RewardsSM Members! Please keep it on file for your reference. If you'd like to view details on your order, or to return or exchange an item, visit the Order Center.

If you click on the order center link it will take you to a new page where you will log in with your email and password which will load all your purchases. To the right of the page for each transaction there is a link that says - View order details - the price it shows to the right of the item must be the return amount because I know it does not match up with the purchase price. I thought others might find this useful.

Now can anyone tell me how to print an e-receipt to submit for a rebate and not that stupid little bar-code for return/exchanges, or did I mess up not printing the original?

I don't do rebates anymore BUT if I did I would ALWAYS send in the orginal receipt. Matter fact I think most of the rebates say send in the orginal receipt.

Even though I don't do rebates I also select print receipt AND a e-receipt. That way if I lose the orginal I will have the e-receipt.

I would check the rebate form to see if it states to send in the orginal receipt. If it does I would see if you can call the company doing the rebate and tell them you only have the e-receipt. And if that will work.

I've lost about 20,000 points on my account now and my mother has lost at least 8000 (maybe more). We each only received P&G bonus points on 2 receipts and each was for less than 4000. I had redeemed a bunch of pet food 3000 points cats and apparently they took those away too. I never would have bought the cat food there if I wasn't going to get the bonus points.

Unfortunately I was saving my points to buy something I wouldn't normally splurge on so I don't have a negative balance so I can't walk away from my card.

(It's not hard to get a new card. Use a second email address and I would use a variation on your first name or just initials if possible. You can use the same phone number. If you want to have your accounts merged later you can.)

I agree with an earlier poster about Kmarts questionable business practices. I don't think it's necessarily intentional. A lot of it is poor hiring choices and a lack of employee training. One practice that really upsets me is the way they handle items that ring up too high. If you catch it at the register, you're okay. If they have to take care of it at customer service, it depends on the store. At the store I regularly shop at, they make sure I get what I actually paid back, but at another store, they handle it as a "customer didn't want - return" and I don't get back all I paid. They mark their outdated merchandise 90% off but it always scans full price at the register.

I've always loved Kmart and excused a lot of unbelievable customer service over the years, but there's no defense for taking away points that were earned on other promotions!

I feel the same way. I have let a lot of things slide at Kmart because my Kmart has great employees. Just the other day I was overcharged for 4 Pantene. My total seemed high and so I looked over the register and that's when I found I was charged $5.99 for the Pantene when it was marked on the shelf $4.99. And actually after talking to the manager it was suppose to be $4.99 BUT they someone by mistake plugged it in as the bigger size bottle at the sale price. The manager fixed it and gave me the $4 BUT I could have also gotten more than $4 because they have a $3 scan guarantee if you are overcharged for an item. I didn't request that. I figured I make out good with my deals and luckily I caught it AND it was fixed ASAP in their system. That is why I watch the transaction like crazy to make sure everything is working out ok. That has save me countless times.

I think were they are going to get into hot water for 2 reasons (at least)

1. For taking our points away from other promos that weren't P&G promos

2. Taking away points from someone who never even bought a single P&G items during that error.

Maybe they can take away points for an error IF it stated in the terms and condtions of the program BUT it should be illegal for them to remove points you got for an advertised special. And I have ALL prior store flyers to prove the other promos I did.

BUT I really thing they should take care of this whole matter for good customer relations. Otherwise they are going to leave a bad impression on tons and tons of people. And that is the last thing they need at this time.

It's just a shame that we are all left holding the empty bag on this mess.

I was really looking forward to some clothes that fit.......
ps. I had 20,000 points take away. I am not in the negative thank goodness, but still......

It would have been better if you were in the negative because then you could just walk away from your card and start over. I've warned my family to use up their points immediately!

They should be able to pull up your card with your phone #. And then you just have to setup a pin number to be able to use your points. So you don't even actually need your card to shop at Kmart. (or Sears)

BUT the downfall to using them up right away is that sometimes they offer bonuses if you redeem your points on a special day.

So, I wonder if it helps if they verbally mentioned the promo to me over the phone prior to this "error". I will note that when I call them shortly.

sure or just use a pin # you can have memorized. That's what I did. I changed my pin # to something I have memorized that I also use for my debit card.

Well I know you posted it here after you talked to them.

I had the same issue. Mine went from 44,000 to 19,000. I save my points and use them at Christmas time.

I called customer service and spoke with a supervisor...They said the reason for taking the points away from everyone is because there was a glitch in the system and it was only targeted for a select few SYWR members. She said if you were one of those, you would have received a CRT that was scanable after your original receipt and the cashier was to scan it then and the points would go to your card. She apologized for the mix-up on their part.

Really?! I don't care what YOUR mix-up was. We are customers...this wasn't our error, it was yours! Now credit us.

My two scents...
