Went to Kmart earlier to try the m&m deal and it was a no go!! I couldn't combine the 4 $1/1 mq to get the buy 4 bags, get a $5 gc. The cashier said, the coupon indicates only 1 coupon for purchase!! Waaah!

That's funny because in their double coupon rules it says limit 4 of the same coupon doesn't it? I agree your Kmart sucks! I would definately give it another shot though. I would go a different time of day when the shift is different. Kmart is so hit or miss when it comes to the cashiers. They have no set policy and no one knows what the heck is going on! They seem to make the rules up as they go along! Annoying!

This sounds like one of my stores....they allow only one of the same coupon per transaction, but I can do 4 transactions of that same coupon...., they have it backwards. I tried giving them a class a brought in verbage etc....but they said this is their store policy. So, this is my store where I go whenever I just need to do my simple stuff.....however, I have "gotten away" with do more than just the 4 transactions, most of the employees are trained not to step outside of this rule or they are reprimanded. It's sad that employees are being written up or even terminated for this kind of stuff, and most of them are still young.

OP, I'd would call Kmart and let them know they are not following Kmart policy per their ad. I'd call on my store too, but I like them waaaaaay too much. You know someone was telling me that employees are usually fired once they receive negative feedback from a guest, sad in some aspects.

oh yeah! btw, when she first rang me up she scanned all my items BEFORE the coupons and the $5 gc popped up. she told me that i couldn't use it right away? but i read on another thread that they said that it shouldn't be dated???? is that true? because when i go tmr and try this again i don't want to make a fool out of myself again!!
sorry i'm a newbie to kmart, i only do my shopping at target and walmart

It shouldn't be a dated gc, but it can not be used on the order in which you received it. The gc isn't activated until the order is paid for.

Every cashier and supervisor at my Kmart is a total idiot. I literally live 3 minutes away and I have to travel 25 minutes to go to one where the employees have a brain. Twice in 2 weeks I left a full cart of groceries because they all think one coupon per purchase means per transaction. Now I only go if it's a deal that I absolutely can't pass up

I liked the peanut better it has little shortbread cookies in it that are good. I'm going today to get 8 more bags. I got my coupons from eBay yesterday

I would go to corporate about this store. And I would insist on talking to the District manager. That's stupid that you have to travel 25 minutes when you have one so close. You need to get someone to re-educate (over I guess educate) these cashiers and csms.

The one coupon per purchase vs transaction is like from couponing 101 and item#1 in that class.

I would want the District manager to know I would love to shop at Kmart but you don't think it's right that you have to waste your gas and time to drive to the one 25 miles away.

Someone up the pipeline has to know what the one per purchase vs transaction means. And get that straight with the store.

I would love to do this to all of those employees They are costing the store sales.

I got 8 bags earlier tonight, but they put it on one of those dated cards and would NOT even throw around the idea that I should get a regular gift card. GRR!
