I tried to do some of the p&g deals. Where you buy the Gillete body wash and use th $2/1 q from the 7/4 inserts and the BOGO body wash q from the p&g inserts last month.. well the registers will not allow you to stack! I had every cashier and the manger at my line... it was madness!

I was also going to do this with the oral b coupons.. but I am not even gonna try it!

I think I am done w/ this round of doubles.

If I'm correct, you needed 2 more body washes to tie the BOGO to. The $2/1 was for the 1st one you were buying.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong.

The 2/1 applied to the one you bought but since the q was get one free the only item to use it was on the one you bought which you just used the 2/1 - been there done that - I feel your pain!

Yep, I got 8 body washes used 4 $2/1 and 4 BOGO FREE q's. So i had 8 bodywashes total and 8 coupons.

i just got home after spending 2hrs matching up my coupons to make sure they were correct according to the items. gillette, tampax, old spice and other items that none of which were doubling correctly. they took me to the desk with only one person working and about 10 people all standing around watching me. wasted half my day because i walked out of there with nothing at all. it is so upsetting that this happens when i work at a grocery store and i know how to properly use coupons but they are not working the way they should at the register. very frustrating. i really wanted those deals but i will never step foot into a kmart again!

IMO, its not really all that good of an event this time around.. I may still try and get the OB toothbrushes and rimmel nail polish.. but thats about it! There are 2 that my BF passes on his way to and from school.. so I may just send him!

I went on Monday and didn't find anything really on my own but when I heard about the nailpolish I went and grabbed some up. That is the only good deal I have seen there.

I Am still alittle mad that a "select" group of states got their own "special" doubles.. had 10 coupons per day and on anything ><

I had the same problem with the Gillette body wash two days ago at my Kmart. The manager said that I could not use two coupons for two items and to move me along the impatient man behind me in line was attempting to explain (more slowly) why I could not use 2 coupons (as if her really knew what he was saying....) Anyway, I don't think I am going to go back this week to do the double couponing since deals seem to be better at CVS and Walgreens.

I actually don't think this is K-Mart's fault at all.

I've read elsewhere that the B1G1 coupon is coded to attach to two items. Sometimes (typically) B1G1 qs only attach to one, leaving the other item free to use a second coupon on.

So you can blame P & G for their coding. . . I tried it too before I saw that it was coded to attach to two items.

I would like to know about the coding as well. P and G puts out these gillette coupons all the time and I have been able to stack them at WAGS

I had trouble using them also. I was able to use 2 of then but for some reason the register wouldn't take the 3rd one. I said it was fine because I didn't want to void off the bodywash because I was trying to do the $35 deal to get the $10 back and after all that time and trouble the register didn't even print my rewards -- I WAS FURIOUS! LOL
I asked the cashier about it and she was so rude and refused to get a manger out to fix the problem and told me to call corporate! So I did just that this morning and talked to them and they said that the manager will have to be the one to fix it and they were sending an email to the store manager to fix this for me, so now i am waiting on that call.
My trip was so frustrating and def. not worth the time and effort for 5 coupons to double -- I will not waste my time there again!!

I don't think I can post links to other sites. . .and it's all pretty complicated. I don't really understand it all. If you want an extensive review, just search for "coupon barcode basics" and you'll get a few sites that will explain.

Regarding the B1G1 coupons, it's my understanding that if the 10th and 11th digits in the UPC barcode on the coupon is 14 - then it attaches to two items. If the 10th and 11th digits are 01 - then it only attaches to the "free" item and you can use a $off coupon on the item you're paying for.

For example. . the Gillette B1G1 bodywash coupon barcode is:

5 37000 22714 9 - attaches to both items

The Old Spice B1G1 bodywash coupon barcode is:

5 37000 22801 6 - attaches to only 1 item

I tried this with the Pantene. BOGO and $2/1. The register kept saying no matching item found. So I just took back the BOGO q's and just used 2 of the $2/1. You would think they would be a little better prepared for these doubles events huh.
I have used all kinds of BOGO q's with $/$$ q's (Gillette, Old Spice, etc.) at lots of stores and have never had a problem with em.
I agree with a lot of the others. It wasn't worth the time, hassle, or the gas to go there for 5 coupons. I don't think I will be doing any more doubles events until they get all the kinks out.

Another thing that does not really make any sense either is that they will let you use a coupon for each item in the Rimmel BOGO... but not stack q's when you have a BOGO q?!?!
