Does anyone know if you can use a coupon for an item that you are placing on layaway? I am looking to start a stockpile of diapers with some coupons and was curious to know if I could use coupons on items that are going to be placed on layaway.

I don't think they allow that. Even if it does mean the same as if you were buying them and taking them with you. K-mart is very difficult with these kind of things

I would call your store and ask. I have used a coupon when I put items in the layaway. Not all Kmart stores are difficult.

You can use coupons on layaway items, only you have to use them when you get the layaway out, I did this last year at Christmas, I was told to take my recipet and coupons to customer service when I got the layaway out and they refunded my money. They were happy to take the coupons.

I've used all sorts of coupons on my layaway, when I placed it in layaway! It took the $$ off right then

Thanks for the replies. I went last week and the cashier said that noone had ever asked that before. Alghough it did allow me to use my coupons while placing them on layaway.
