I did it 7 times. 4 the first time and 3 the second.
The first time they let me pay for the first transaction and then use the gift cards for each additional transaction.
The second time I couldn't use my GC's at all. They said that if I was getting a gift card in the same transaction I could not pay for said transaction with another gift card.

So I just paid for mine and have GC's for school supplies.

I went tonight and my cashier wanted to introduce me to his wife........

I did 4 transactions all at once and he just used the gift card that he just put the $$ on to pay for my items and then I had a $2 balance when all was said and done.......he thought it was so cool. I can't wait for the batteries to go on sale on Sunday and hopefully my coupons I ordered from the Coupon Clippers will be here soon too! Yeah me! My Kmart is cool right now - hopefully they don't become jerks about it by tomorrow when I go back........I'll be looking for 'Wes' tomorrow when I go.

Rip

Hello everyone! I don't usually take the time to post since I have five little ones underfoot, but I just wanted to share that my local Kmart (western Michigan) now has signs up limiting the P/G deal to one per household. I think it's rotten how people take advantage of the great deals out there! When I went Monday to Kmart for school supplies, they were already out of stock on almost every item in the sales. But, there were plenty of the tearpad coupons everywhere. I did one deal and took several coupons, since they were also out of almost every P/G item under $3! When I returned today, there were not only NO batteries to be found, but the coupon mongers had struck!! People had torn entire pads off the displays, leaving ripped cardboard and ugly reminders of greed everywhere. Now I see these coupons on eBay and it makes me upset. This kind of overkill on our part make couponers look bad and kills our chances of companies doing these promotions again. Just my two cents' worth! I love this site, keep the hints coming! Holly

Holly,
That sounds nuts! I have done this a few times, and have always added in some extra good deals to get up to about $10; I have always had coupons for the batteries & the P&G items. (Hm, is it coincidence that during this deal the batteries go on sale & there are coupons for them as well as many of the items on the promo? I think not. Kmart is being reimbursed handsomely by P&G for this promotion!)
There is no limit on the coupon as to how many times you can do this, but certainly people taking all the coupons & then selling them on ebay is insane. Which is, I'm sure, why some stores are limiting. If there are no more coupons, ask at the camera counter - they may have some. Otherwise I'm sure CS will honor the deal, or someone will send you one free from here. I can't stand people who take whole tearpads. Taking a few for later is one thing...but geez!

My K mart didn't have any tearpads. I went ahead and got a few batteries I needed as well as some toothpaste ($1 a tube with coupon), and passed on the other items I was going to get. I was disappointed by KMart yet again....

I noticed that customer service is holding these forms at the CS desk -- at least that is what I have noticed in the 2 local Kmarts I visited.

Have amusing Kmart & this deal stories to share... but just noticed the time and need to pick up DS from camp... so I will leave you all in suspense.

Lynda,

I will be waiting. When it comes to kmart who knows what the story is going to be. I have to say that my kmart has been very nice even when they went to one per household. I seen the same people every day to get my battery and two P&G products and no one has said anything out of the way. knock on wood.

Oh... so glad someone is waiting

First story:
Yesterday I had alone time to run to Kmart -- figured my friend had no problems doing multi-transactions, so I would attempt the same.
I decide to do one transaction just to feel out the cashier... no problems. Nothing said.
I take my purchase to my car, figure out coupons to do 2 more transactions. Go back in Kmart, get needed batteries & P&G items and go back to nice old lady cashier. No problems.
I take my purchases to the car... decide I have time to do 2 more transactions then I need to go finish other errands before DS's camp is over.
I decide to go to a different cashier. (Which was my mistake) She scans in the first order, looks at the coupon and says, "You do know that corporate is now saying these forms are one per HH?"
Me: "No... the form says one per purchase, thus I figured what I am doing is fine"
Cashier: "No.. it is only one per HH now... there is a sign on our front door stating this."
Me: "Oh... " big smile...
Cashier: (looks behind her as the cashier behind her walks away) "You know, I don't know why they limit it. I don't make the rules. And I had to say what I said." (then in a whisper) "but you can always come back tomorrow"
Me: (I just keep grinning and nod)
Cashier: "You aren't going to complain?"
Me: "No... just going to keep all my thoughts to myself b/c that would be for the best" (b/c I am thinking...well.... that other cashier just did 3 transactions for me... so somebody somewhere isn't telling every cashier this 'rule')
Cashier: "Oh.. ok"

I take my 4th transaction and leave... checking for the 'sign'.... the 'sign' was the size of half of a 8.5x11 piece of paper. Printed in font size 10 or 12. Like THAT was going to catch my eye when walking in the store
__________________________________________________ __________

Second story:
I had to take a friend to the airport, decided to hit the Kmart in GG's town (). I decided to do 3 transactions back to back. I didn't have the time to go out and back in like I did yesterday.

I have all 3 transactions on the counter. The cashier rings in #1, takes & scans all my coupons, and then says, "You do know this is one per HH?"
Me: No. The coupon specifically states one per purchase...which is why I want to do 3 transactions.
Cashier: Well, the mgr told us not to even take these coupons. We took them down from our shelves. We don't have any to offer. I am being nice by taking this one.
Me: The coupon specifically states one per purchase. I am following the rules on the coupon.
Cashier (rolls eyes and picks up phone to calls the mgr in his office): There is a lady here who wants to use 3 of those duracell $10 giftcard coupons..... I know... I know what you said... just come up front and tell her.... she says her coupon says one per purchase... I know.... just come up here and talk to her.
Cashier (to me): The manager is on his way.

So... I step aside so she can ring up the people behind me. Out comes the mgr.
Mgr: Is there a problem?
Me: No, no problem. My coupon states one per purchase so the cashier wanted you to see it.
Mgr (looks at my coupon): Well... it says one per household.
Me (very calmly and sweetly): No. Right there it states one per purchase.
Mgr: Well... this is not the same coupon I was shown yesterday. (He keeps looking at the coupon and turning it over and over... maybe he was hoping it would transform into whatever he thought it should say)
Me (still very calmly): It does state one per purchase...
Mgr: Yes, you are right... well, as long as each coupon is in a separate transaction, you can use it. That means having each set of batteries and items rung up separately and that will take time.
Me: That means I can use them?
Mgr: Yes... but it will take time.
Me: Oh... that's fine... I completely understand that is how it has to be done. Thanks! *BIG SMILE*

And back in line I return.

Wonder how many different stories we can gather regarding this promo??

I did the deal Sat. and had my DD do one too. The cashier was having a little trouble figuring out how to ring up the gift card. So......the supervisor comes over (grumpy) and tells the cashier what to do. She says to the cashier loud enough so I will hear her big mouth..."SHE can't use THIS GIFT CARD TODAY".

Well poo on you lady.

Lynda, I'll have to take my magnifying glass and see if I can see anything posted about "one per household" at my Kmart.

I think we are raining on Kmart's parade. They sit the Duracell next to all of these enormous $7 boxes of Always WITH THE COUPON....not knowing that we couponers are a force to be reckoned with.....and we have all conspired on how to make the most out of this deal! (evil laugh)

I've been to kmart three times for the battery deals. The first time I didn't see the tear pads anywhere so I asked by the cameras. He didn't know and sent me to the front. While I was at the front desk asking the guy from camera's comes and says I found them how many do you want. I said 3 and the manager at the desk says that's fine, but only one per transaction. So I only used one that day and saved the other two. Cashier didn't do gift card just took off $10. So that was cool.
Trip 2 - I forgot to take in my extra two and asked again. I waited and about 45 min, but finally got one from same manager who said only 1 per transaction. She only allowed me one and once again Cashier didn't do gift card but just took off $10.
Trip 3 - today I found my 2 coupons and went in, did two transactions and manager happens to see I'm using it and told cashier you know those are one per household. I said no it's 1 per transaction, and I'm only doing two. The cool cashier says her first transaction was for her mom's household. This time she did do gift cards because I showed her the directions.

I think I have enough batteries now and I don't want them getting to upset with me so I'm done.

I LOVE ALL of you!!! This has become my obsession!!! My hubby thinks I'm crazy!! I explained it to him....what if you found a deal that allowed you to get free BEER!!! And he said oohhhhh...now I get it!! HAHA

First trip to K-Mart.....there were TONS of tear pads.....EVERYWHERE! My niece and I ended up doing 13 transactions....yes I said 13! The lady was a sweetheart! We talked about our kids while she was ringing me up....no one was in the store...so she took her time! She did not do the gift card...she just gave me a $10 credit!!!! I went with the more "expensive" items. I got $123 worth of products for $8.14!!!!!!!!!!! She said that noone had been doing this. Soooo hubby and I are going to go back tonight and get some more. I thought I was going to hyperventilate from the excitement!

momgaudet,

WAY to Go!! Our store has now put the coupon at customer service and only 1 per household. It so cute as there these two young guys that are the only cashier I see and they know I been in there every day but they just smile. They are real nice and some times they take the $10 off that order and some times they give me a gift card so I never know which I going to get.
