To use the $27 I bought 5 Cookie Crisp cereal, 10 Knorr sides, 10 poptarts, 7 powerades, milk and 2 packs of gum. After qs I spent about $.80 and got $15 cat.

I love this deal!!!! I bought 12 skippy natuarl pb paid 18.xx got back $20 in cats.

I then bought
5 breyers ice cream
12 Knorr Pasta Side plus

used 1/2 breyers
and 4 1/3 knorrs
and 5 $1 cats
and 3 $5 cats
Total was $2.27

And I got back $30 in cats

I then went to the next store bought
8 Degree deodorants
6 Knorr past sides

used 7 .75/1 degree

I have a question about the Breyers ice cream deal. I know that when I buy five cartons of this I'll get 15 back in cats, but what I'm not sure about is if I have to buy a certain flavor. I went to three stores yesterday, two of them had tags by the ice cream that said it went with the 30/15 deal, so i only bought the flavors that had those tags. The third store didn't have any tags so I didn't buy any at all

Today I used the self check out and did not scan my card until I reached $30. Then I scanned my card, but my coupons did not scan. The employee put my coupons in as grocery. After my discounts it was $23, but I did not get the Catalinas. I returned the items and decided to buy items that reached $30 after my prefered card and coupons. I did the Catalina, but I think I could have done better. If they put my coupons in as grocery does it mess up my catalinas?

Oh my goodness. I have been so out of the loop with Jewel for a long time now. I know get a chance to read this and the deal ends today. I cannot go today at all becaue its a crazy day for me. So any deals going on tomorrow that I should know about? thanks op for this info.

When you go out through self check out. they usually put coupons in manually it will mess up Catalinas. I do not use self out check out anymore because if you use coupons they have to do it for you which defeats the purchase.
If you use self check out to help reach your total I would not use the coupons. After you scan your items and you know its 30 scan your preferred then pay. go to cs and hand her your receipt and coupons. you will then get a refund for that amount. its extra work but you will be sure to get your Catlaina then.

It should work with any flavor. They have many items that work for the promotion but they don't tag them all. It takes time to tag and most of the time they don't have enough staffing. Last time around I got cookies and cream, strawberry, snickers, pecan, chocolate, vanilla and cherry.

I use the self checkout everytime I go and I've done it at least five times with this deal. What I do is first scan my stuff, then I scan my card, then the cs has to come over and scan my coupons. It worked everytime but once and after looking over my receipt I realized it was my fault. I watched the scanner add up my cereal and when it got over the thirty dollar mark I figured I was fine, I would get my cats, what I didn't realize was that it added the tax too. So, I didn't get over the thirty dollar mark and I didn't get my cats. I'm going again today and this time I'm going to do the math BEFORE i check out. I've also been hearing that not everything is working with the cats, like the ALL. Only certain upc numbers are working.

Thank you for the advice on how to check out using coupons. I bet my total was messed up by tax and by them putting the coupons in as grocery. If I go again, I will NOT use the self check out. I will need to be over $30 because of the tax. Can I ask the casher to scan my card at the end and then hand over my coupons?

Yeah when they put your qs in as "grocery" it messes up the cats! So that would be part of the reason. And I have also done the watch till you get to 30 and your good thing... you live and you learn.

I am not new to couponing but new to the world of couponing at Jewel. How do you determine if a product (Suave or a food product) that is included in this catalina deal goes by the regular shelf price or the sale price to get up to the $30 needed for the catalina? Thanks.

usually items on OSCO goes by sale price unless is a prefered savings tag on the shelf however you can check at the Scot machines before made purchase.

I always add it up with the sale price. Once I didn't and the CAT didn't print. Now just to be sure... are these rolling? I got a $15 CAT yesteray, here's another plan I worked out....

4 Nut Clusters $10 ($4 q's)
6 Warm Delights $10 ($3 q's)
2 ALL $7 ($2 q's)
3 Knorr $3 ($1 q)

Total $30 - $10 q's - $15 CAT = $5 and receive $15 cat

What do you think? Can I try it based on shelf price? But $5oop is not bad either!

have been doing this for a while and it still confuses me. But I am learning that if it is a "preffered tag" then it is jewel if it is a tag that says BONUS BUY it is an osco item! HTH.

You can try it on shelf price it will work....

I don't know what the nut clusters or warm delights are shelf price but withh just the knorr pastas and alls (if you can find them) you are half way there already.
