With Jewel's change in coupon policy, I'm wondering how much business they will lose. Are you planning on shopping elsewhere?

I'm going to try Ultra and Food 4 Less since they both take expired q's.

Food for Less seems to be getting a little more strict on computer generated coupons. So be warned. My Dominicks has pretty much stopped taking them...this is what I was told last week when I was getting the Quaker Granola bar deal. I am bummed that Jewel isn't taking them anymore.

I do plan on shopping elsewhere. I have 6 grocery stores that are closer to me than Jewel, and cheaper. I didn't know Ultra took expireds! Unfortunetely its about 30 min away and is in a really bad part of town (Gary, IN), so I don't think I will be going to Ultra either

I do plan on shopping elsewhere. Jewel is crazy expensive compared to other stores (i.e., Super Target, Super Wal-Mart, Food 4 Less). If I can't use expireds, they better lower their prices to be more competitive. I plan on shopping at the Super Wal-Mart. If jewel has a really good sale, I will go but I'm not gonna dump as much cash there as I do now. I really think in a few months they are going to feel the pinch of losing some of their customer base.

Did you know the coupons in the Ultra sale ads (and Food for Less) are man q and they can be used anywhere.

I'll probably still shop at Jewel but I go by sales. If the sales aren't good I'll shop somewhere else.

My Dominick's & Food 4 Less take expired. I'll probably check them out more often. I also have Valli & Caputo's near me. You can't beat their prices on deli meat. They're probably the cheapest around.My Ultra doesn't take expired anymore.

im planning only to go to jewel for sales and sales only we live almost across the street from Jewel so its convieniant in that sense. we also have have astore near us called Berkots and they say they will take expired coupons AND IP. Other then that my family would have to go out of town to shop,.., and since the new no expired thing is going on .. thats what we will be doing

I plan to shop at Jewel for the cat deals (like I do now), but I will continue to do the bulk of my shopping at Meijer. I really like Meijer and the mealbox coupons typically match up with manufacturer coupons for some really good deals.

I also like to spend my Wags rrs at Jewel so I will continue to do that, unless I find out Meijer takes them, too.

We must shop at the same Ultra Foods. Hanover Park? They used to take the expireds up until a couple months ago when I went in one day and they had put signs up at all the registers. Too bad, too. I used to save up my expireds and get a lot of free goodies there like free Suave deo, free Snapple, free Colgate toothpaste, and more. :-(

I will probably still shop at Jewel but definitely not as often as before and most likely, I will just go in for the loss leaders weekly and not much else. UNLESS, there is an awesome cat deal going on LOL.

I will be shopping around like crazy and now only go for some good deal, they are going to loose a ton of business, I have a Garden Fresh and meat and produce is a much better price! WHAT A BUMMER!!!

Um I am late at responding, only due to the fact I gave up on Jewel. Even though they have the claim of lowering their prices, they are still more expensive! So I will shop at Food4Less, Strack N VanTil, Ultra, and price match at Walmart for stores not so close!

I don't know where I've been the last couple of weeks! I just noticed the sign in the window today about the expired coupon issue. Expired coupons are not a problem for me because I usually donate them to the military. I do agree that Jewel is crazy expensive and I will be purchasing only sale items with coupons and loss leaders.

I love Target and Meijer has some pretty good deals lately too.

Yeah, same here. Jewel for coupons/loss leaders - same for Dominick's.

Prefer Meijer, Woodmans.

I have just been getting away from using expireds all together (bummer) but I have not shopped at Jewel a fraction of what I did when they took expireds. I have been mostly doing Super Target Deals and that has helped ease the pain ().

I definately haven't been shopping there as much and it makes me sad when I see something I know i have an expired for. But i guess that's how it goes. Expired coupons just aren't the same anymore.
