Did anyone else do the cereal deal and get the coupons for free milk?

Mine have red in the barcode which means they won't scan, correct? I was just wondering b/c I know with the milk deals before they would ring up at $4.50 no matter what, even if you bought the Jewel milk at $1.99. If this means they won't scan, I'll get Deans milk which DH likes better.

You can't beat paying $6.25 for 7 boxes of cereal, 2 boxes of Cheez-Its, 1 box of Pop Tarts, and getting 3 Q's for FREE milk! I am addicted to deals!

On a side note. I got 2 tubs of Maries Ranch Dip for 74 cents. I had an avenu q for $1.00/1, they are BOGO this week, and I had a $1/1 Q. If you guys have this deal on your avenu this would work for you also!

i did that deal twice and got 6 coupons for milk ... the cashier and all the ppl around me thought i was nuts...
be carefull though! the deal is 7 or more you get 3 milks.... if you have more then 7 in one order you will only get the three coupons .. i had to have the cashier delete some stuff and then do a different transaction then it screwed up my coupons since most where buy 2 get $1.00 off cereals...

I did it once today. 10 cereals x 2.50 = 25.00 -10.00 instant savings = $15 - $1 q - 9x .70 q = $7.70. Rec'd 3 milk coupons. Unfortunately couldn't use it on 1/2 gallon milks. (we get the organic stuff for my son). The coupons beep and the price has to be manually entered.

I don't think you are nuts! Why not get milk and cereal for pretty much free?

I got Froot Loops, Rice Krispies, Apple Jacks, and Cocoa Krispies. They were all on a big display up front. I had my 10 month old DS w/ me so I didn't venture into the isle. I'll look for you if I go again today.

I missed this deal... I was just at Jewel for the first time yesterday. Can someone explain it to me? I'm assuming you are also using Qs to get the oop down to $6.25 for so many items. Please elaborate!

The deal is buy 7 Kellogs cereals (12 oz. or more) and get 3 cats. for free milk. You combine this with the deal where you buy 10 cereals, Nurtigrain Bars, Cheez-Its, Keebler Cookies, Pop Tarts, Rice Krispie Treats, Kellogs, Grab N' Go Cereal. When you buy 10 you get the sale price of 10/$15.

So basically just buy at least 7 cereals and pair them with 3 other items listed (it could be three more cereals if you like) and then you use your Q's. I had a bunch of expireds for $1/1 cereal and lower value Q's for all the other products listed. I did it a second time and had a slightly higher OOP using the $1.50/2 cereal Q's. I think it is a good deal though considering you get free milk and a whole bunch of cereal for an OOP under $10.

It started last Monday...and I know my board had it posted early that morning.

Many deals start on Monday and are then in Thursday ad...it is worth a walk through the store on Monday mornings...
