In the Jewel ad I got in the mail today they are running their annual sale: On Sunday, Feb. 10th and Monday, Feb. 11th you can buy an Igloo freezer (5.2 Cubic foot, holds approx. 150 lbs of frozen food, removable basket, space-saving flat-back design, easy access defrost drain, adjustable thermostat control, manual defrost) for $149.99 with your preferred card. They will give you coupons for $150.00 worth of free frozen foods making the freezer free. I did this deal years ago, it was a nice freezer, but it died last year. I'm not sure if we'll get another one right now, we don't really have room for it. Great deal if you can do it though!

Jewel runs this promotion every year. If I didn't have a freezer I would buy one from Jewel. But, it wouldn't hurt to have another one!!!

I haven't seen the coupons, so I don't know how good they are!

If anyone has purchased the freezer in the past, would you please provide a review of the freezer and the coupons? I'm considering this since my freezer is constantly stuffed and I just don't like that messy, overfilled look when I open the door.

OMG. I have been talking about how much I want a chest freezer lately. I'm actually thinking about moving out on my own, so it would be just me....and a chest freezer! But we have 3 roommates and just an above the fridge freezer until April. So many good coupons!!!!

That coupon list is from last year's deal. The new list is up on a local blog but I can't post links yet. Google "coupon queen cataldo" and click the top link, then click the post at the bottom that says it's "Going to be a Cold Weekend."

Also, some Jewels started selling the freezers today. Many people on the blog have them already.
