Hi! Great to see more people from chicagoland/indiana!

Hi everyone!

I'm a former Melrose Parker myself, born and raised, but moved out here to Lake Villa, IL. a year and a half ago after I got married. I go to Melrose Park's Jewel still though, when there's a good deal, since my parents still live there. Otherwise, I go to Round Lake Beach and Gurnee Jewels.

I am in Grayslake near Gurnee...I shop Gurnee Jewel but now think I should be going to Grayslake for the gasoline rewards...nice to see Mundelein and Vernon Hills. I grew up in Libertyville..spent my whole life here...well except college years!!

Waukegan is District 60.

Do you shop Waukegan Jewels?

I shop at the Peru, IL jewel, but just discovered there are several others not much farther in the opposite direction, Yorkville, Oswego and Aurora.

I do not...I am at the Gurnee and Grayslake Jewels.

That is too bad. Gurnee seems to give a WAY harder time. Grand/Greenbay they KNOW The deals (because of me, )...and allow us to do unlimited numbers of orders at the uscan AND order product for us.

I rarely do Gurnee. Some of my members do...but have had problems.

what do you mean some of your members?? I have yet to have an issue at the Gurnee store...I am starting to go to Grayslake though because of the gas rewards...I am almost smack dab in the middle of them both.

Grand and Greenbay...how is that neighborhood now...I grew up in Libertyville...some of the areas in Waukegan were tough...I know that a lot has changed down there just wondering..

I've been a Jewel shopper for years but it was sure easier before I moved to Ottawa, IL. I used to shop in Palatine (Dundee & Hicks). Now I have to drive at least 15 miles to either Morris or Peru to find a Jewel. I guess it's worth it - I'm going tomorrow!
