I was just looking under the store information to see if this was posted there, but I've known for a little while that if an item rings up at the wrong price, they are supposed to give you one of that item for free but you have to ask for it to be free - otherwise they'll just price adjust it on you. I've gotten several items free in the past, but tonight was my biggest score - a pack of Huggies overnites. They had a handwritten price tag that they were 8.88 as part of the weekly sale on Huggies (they are usually included in the sale at Ingles, just not everywhere else) - they rang up at 10.88. I told the asst. manager who was at the self check stand for a moment - he got a deer in the headlights look, said he thought they were on clearance and it didn't apply, but I sent him back to check, and guess what? I got free Huggies! This is why I always self scan - I check those prices like a hawk!

edited to add: I saw someone else had gotten free diapers this week too - just thought the price guarantee deserved it's own posting to make sure people were aware.

My Publix used to do that too but last time I asked they laughed at me (literally) and said no....so frustrating when they don't know what they are supposed to be doing. Good job on being consistent!
