My store had a sign up saying 'buy 4 pillsbury refrigerated baked goods, get a catalina for $4 off your next order." I got one, but when I went back and got 4 of the $1 grands biscuits, it just printed off a $2 catalina. Anyone else getting this?

There were $1/3 blinkies right by the pillsbury rolls. I think I should be able to buy 6 for $6, use two of the $1/3, pay $4 oop and get a $4 catalina back. This should make for free cinamon rolls.

Edit... I went to Hyvee for lunch and tried this and it worked!!!

I did this transaction three times. A couple of things I found out.

1) The catalina seems to work on a variety of pillsbury products. I have tried both biscuits and cinnamon rolls.

2) The catalina will not roll on itself, meaning you can not use the $4 catalina on you next purchase of pillsbury products and expect another $4 catalina to print out.

3) And last but not least, Hyvee limits your transactions. On my third transaction, the screen said "duplicate" and would not print out my $4 catalina. The cashier said it was because I had already done the transaction before and could not do it again. I asked her how they track it and they said they monitor your payment method (credit card number). Talk about big brother!!! She voided the transaction, I payed in cash and the $4 catalina printed out.

And in case you are wondering what I am doing with 18 pillsbury cans... I hear they freeze well. So I figure it is worth....

Oh Yeah... More free cinamon rolls.

I have heard you can freeze the rolls and they will still bake up Ok.

Has any body tried rolling the catalina on itself?

I saw the $1/3 blinkies but didn't know about the $4 catalina. I will be buying a bunch as well!

Wow, that is crazy that they monitor your payment methods. Good information to know! Thanks for posting this!

Thanks for the update! I almost always pay in cash so I'll just make sure I do that this week so I won't have to worry about my catalina printing.

Thanks for the rolling info! Scary about the payment method thing, though. I figure I can use my pillsbury cats toward the cereal deal (then pay $2 or so OOP), then use the cereal cat on more pillsbury/yogurt/potatoes/veggies. I'll be rolling back and forth all week.

Honestly, I can't remember having this good of a week at Hy-Vee for a LOOOOOONNNNG time! Fun!

No catalinas here. I even asked at 2 different hy-vees. They had never heard of the deal.

I think this deal ended on 11/1...the crt that printed indicated that. If anyone finds out differently throw out a shout because I love those cinnamon rolls!

You're correct, it ended on 11/1. =( I wish I could of done it again, but I went to 3 different stores on Sunday and all them were sold out of them.

I guess that makes sense since I didn't get a cat last night. That's ok though because I had $1/1 coupons so they were free anyway.

I didn't realize it ended Sunday, either. My store was out until they got a truck yesterday, tried the deal and didn't print. Oh, well--I've still got several meals' worth in the fridge.
