was cleaning out my food cabinets & came across expired food. was wondering should i toss or will it be ok to eat ? koolaid 1/27/13 cake mix 3/6/13 poptarts 3/8/13 lysol hand soap 11/11 none of the items were open. |

I hope you don't eat Lysol Hand soap ![]() Yes, all the items are safe to eat/use! I buy and use expired foods at a discount all time time. In fact, most foods, especially canned/processed foods are good long past their "expiration" date. |

thanks i used the kool-aid & hand soap. my dd said the pop tart didn't taste good so i threw them out(2 boxes) |

I dont think the dates mean ANYTHING on some things.... One time I found a hersheys chocolate syrup can dated 12/31/14 a few years ago and I got it.... IT WAS DELICIOUS!!! Milke however is a much different story!!!!!! |
