The fridge needs to have good circulation or the compressor will fail prematurely. Be careful to give it breathing room.

Wow! Awesome stockpile! My only concern is that is your kitchen and makes it a bit cluttered. You can get bins/baskets that are true rectangle shaped... like the top doesnt get wider.. this way you won't lose space but you will be hiding all the stuff. You can then label each bin and it will be easy to know where your stuff it. You can probably even find bins that stack and still look nice. Something like this covered basket from target would look nice and stack nice. These OPEN BASKETS are also cute! I love organizing! My "stockpile" is on open shelving in my laundry room. I use quotes on stockpile b/c I am just learning but I am doing really well I am so motivated. I just like to ensure I only buy the items i actually use... I like particular brands so it makes it a bit more difficult to stockpile for me.

not sloppy but for me.. that would bother me being out in the open. i looove to organize but i would feel cluttered.. i definately like the idea of a tension rod and some fabric or a curtain. It is pretty wasted space tho and its a great way to utilize it especially if space is limited. adding: i also think the bin idea would be nice looking but not sure if those collapsibles will stack well. And as for your fridge, it doesnt look too crowded to me, alot of people store things on the top of them, myself included. the most important part is cleaning under the fridge i think. you have to live with it. if you dont feel crowded or cluttered then who cares!

Great idea! I have a ton of space above my cabinets going unused. I'll just get some pretty crates and toss everything in there! You've totally solved a space issue I've been having in planning my food stockpile.

I was just wondering how I could use the space over my cabinets. I think ill get some bins to store light and bulky items like chips or cereal. I just hope I don't forget whats up there.
