Is your life feeling a bit cluttered? Looking for incentive to get rid of things that are dragging you down? How about joining us in the "2012 in 2012" challenge! The goal is to toss or donate 2012 items over the next 12 months. Sound daunting? Well, look at it this way: it breaks down to: - 167 items per month - 38 items per week - or ONLY 5 items per day! I'll start...tonight I'm seeing a friend whose dad is in a nursing home recovering from a broken hip. I'll bring her some old magazines to donate to the nursing home when she visits. goal: 2012 items less 10 magazines Balance= 2002 Good luck and Happy New Year everyone! |

Love this, thank you! I'm in! I pulled out a bin of sweaters this week. When I went through it I left probably 6 in it. That will be my start. Goodwill, here I come!

Oh I'm SO in! I just started doing this today with my 2 y.o. DS. We went through his toy box and decided on 13 toys he would like to give to kids that need it. So proud of him! I have an entire basement of things I need to sort though and get rid of. Goal: 2012 items -13 toys =1999

im so in... my main things is clothes.... i am think 2012 from my house and 2012 for storage.... i want that stupid storage building gone before the end of the year and the sooner the better

I'm pretty sure I borrowed the idea from someone-but I am really excited about this. I'm hoping it will give me the motivation to clear things out slowly but surely. After all, do I really need so many pairs of shoes? Or purses? And why do I seem to think that I am going to use a cookie press? I haven't used it in the three years I have owned it!

this is awesome!10 pairs of underwear gone! found a b1g1 at kmart. needed new pairs.i will say i am even at 2012 but will be decluttering in am . Happy New Year to all!!!

I have been doing some major purging the past few days because my MIL & BIL are going to be here on Friday and I am trying to get the house in order. 2012 - 26 items from Brooke's room/closet - 14 holiday decor items - 36 items from my dresser/closet & master bath - 3 bath toys 1933 Tomorrow, I will be cleaning out the linen closet and our office.

In! 2012 Just sold 1 pair of snow board boots on ebay since we're in West TX and they've never been worm in the 10 years we've been here! Also tossed 3 bags of toys this week... had to be at least 20 items in there. 2012-21 is 1991! Jan 7, tossed 1 pair of old socks, 2 old clothing items and 1 pair of old shoes. 1991-4=1986. What a cool idea!! I think I will join too!! I could use to throw out some stuff!! I've been working on getting my house more organized and becoming more minimal!! This will help! and the basement is full of stuff that was supposed to go to the thrift store when we moved here but made it to the basement instead!! That would be wonderful to get all that out and actually have some major square footage put to use!  |

what a great idea... I would love to try this BUT I am one of those people that if i see it out of place it's in the trash. My husband has ask where did ( insert whatever you want here ) oh i thought it was trash. so i need to stop doing that |
