Horrible customer Service

I went to homeland for the second time yesterday (two diff ones) because I wanted to get some more cereal and snacks. I took along my mom to get her some too. So first transaction got 10 keeb I got cereal and snacks. Second transaction I got 10 like keebler and snack items......no cereal. Thre very slow unfriendly cashier was over halfway done ringing up everything looks up at me and tells me I cat get all of them if I'm using store cpns. I said why not I did earler that day and got 10 boxes of cereal. The mgr which was 2 isles down beginning to check ppl out because my lane was the onlt ln open started to curve around down the isle.......yelled that I can't use both cpns and get the catalina. I told him that I had done it with cereal. He yelled that I have to mix n match kelloggs and keebler and said the cashier who checked me out earlier that day was Wrong! So, by this time my 2 1/2 yr old girl had ran to one side of the store threw herself onto the floor crying because she's tired. I had to go down my receipt and find EVERYTHING she had already scanned in this transaction (I had gotten a lot of other items too in both trans besides the kelloggs deal) and gput them back on the belt because she had to cancel the transaction. My mom had gone after Kate........I ran and got 5 boxes of cereal and put back 5 snack items.....my lane was growing longer by the second........it was very frustrating and very time consuming. They were very rude and I was a little embarrased the way the mgr was yelling over a few lanes that I couldn't do something. My mom paid for the transaction with foodstamps and it said .26 cents on the screen. I gave the cashier .26 cents. We were Finally walking out to the car and on the receipt it said CHANGE .26 CENTS!!!!!!!! The lady OWED us .26 cents. My mom never takes things back for any reason but at this point we were tired and my little girl was very tired. My mom took the receipt inside to the grumpy cashier and pointed to the bottom of the receipt. Without eveever saying a word she handed my mom .26 cents. My mom said my daughter had paid you this and the cahier handed her another .26 cents. I don't care about the change but SHE KNEW that I didn't owe her money and she TOOK IT!!!! It was just the point of it ya know......anyways sorry this is so long I just needed to vent a little. Hope you all have a good day!

I feel your pain. there's some cashiers make me go UGH. if I c them workring, I walk out.

Well I am sorry they were rude to you that should not have happened in the first place. But the coupon does say one per transaction and Its a ymmv. the more exp cashier that are coupon friendly may pass them through but those who don't or aren't coupon friendly take the beep and a no. Hope that helps.

I'm so sorry you had problems. I have been there. I am not sure how long you have been couponing, but when I first started out this happened to me a lot. It can get confusing. And it can be different from store to store, or even from hour to hour at the same store!! Most of the time the cashiers are not sure what to do. Sounds like this store is understaffed. I am sorry you had trouble. And to have your Mom and daughter with you.

We were all new @ some point and know some of the frustrations!

If you are newer to all this, maybe work something out with your mom?
To babysit, while you shop, this way there are no distractions until you get better grasp of all this?
Even when I am in the checkout, I will not even answer the cell phone( when I get to borrow it) This is all about saving $$ for me, and no distraction's until I am out the door.
