| My Two Transactions Today
I did two transactions today: Trans. 1 2 Cinnabon (rain check 2/$4) - used $1Q that doubled (although it said DND) 2 Reeses $1.00 - used $.55/1 1 Reames dumblings (used match-up Q) 1 Tornado (used $1/1) 1 Toaster STrudel (used $1/1) 1 Tortilla chips $3.00 (no Q) 1 Blueberry Muffin poptarts (used try for free coupon from mail) 1 Wholly Guacamole (used $1/1 IP) bananas 2 Quaker granola bars (used $1/2 Q) 1 Herbal Essence ($1/1 Q) 1 Welches juice ($1/1 IP) 2 Juicy Juice ($1/2 IP) 1 BC Eggs (used .50Q on back of rainchecks--these would be great tomorrow when eggs are really on sale!) Total was $49 something and after Qs was $21.43. However, after reviewing receipt my Juicy Juicy rang up full price. I got Harvest Surprise which was on the aisle display, but someone may have put it there by mistake, so I'll have to get that corrected (they will owe me 2.38). Trans 2 Had Qs for same items 2 Quaker granola bars 1 guac 1 tornado 2 Juicy Juice 1 Welches 1 Reames 1 Herbal Essence 1 Toaster Strudel Total was about $28 and I paid $13.18. Mistakes on this one too. One Juicy Juice (same as above), plus Quaker Smores rang up full price. They were not marked on shelf, but WERE pictured in the ad--I double checked. HL will owe me about 4.44). I didn't check my receipts right away as I was rattled when I left the store. I went about 8:30am and always do two transactions (I can only go once/week), but most times do one trans, then go around or go outside, then do my other one. No one was in line or around so I put my other trans on the check-out, and of course throngs of people started showing up halfway through my first trans. where I couldn't take them off and go around. After I told him the next trans. was mine he looked at the next customer and said "I'm sorry about this". I apologized and told him no one was in line when I put them up there. When he started doing the 2nd trans. he was just slinging my items down to the person helping w/bags! I felt so bad, but he really didn't have to show his displeasure quite that much. When I finished I thanked him for his patience, and turned to the next customer and said the same thing. As I was walking off the checker again told the next customer "I'm sorry about that". Now apologizing for the delay once was ok, but to do it again just irked me quite honestly! Sorry so long! |

Sorry you had a bad cashier. I've done mine in 2 transactions split like that before and had great cashiers for them. Guess what it would have taken just as long if you had more items. It's not like you had that many and people could see what you had before they get behind you. I've done the over charge thing (especially when I have the kids) you have to be careful especially on Tuesdays. My cashier had told me that sometimes they change the computer prices early, I've found that those are the only days I have a problem. I made 1 trip this morning too paid $32 out of $85. I had moved down to deal with the kids and the lady behind me actually moved down to watch what my total got down to as she had heard the total. It was funny seeing some one watch my savings. Just know that you did great job saving your family money and there is nothing wrong with that. |

Sorry a rude person had to put a damper on such a good thing. Shame on him, not you. Congrats on your savings......you did good ! |

I've done 3 transactions before at HL. I don't really care what the other customers think as I'm a customer also. Sometimes I do tell them that I have alot of coupons and they may want to go to another checker. I really haven't had a problem with doing separate transactions here in OKC. However there is one store on NW 18th st that told my daughter that they couldn't do separate transactions. Don't know if this has changed or not as of now. I don't think that is right either. Shouldn't make any difference to them whether you do them or not. They get 7-8 cents on every coupon I use for handling them anyway so it looks like they would be glad to have my coupons. The cashiers are the ones doing all the work and they have to work whether it is me they are dealing with or not. Just a note!

That's right.... I'm just one more transaction to do, before the next one, and the next one, and the next one, and...yadda yadda yadda. It makes up his paycheck at the end of the week, so what does he care. Just keep smiling and saving, he'll get over it. |
