This is what my checker said today. Since she tried (once) to sace a few of my coupons and they would not scan. She entered them by hand then and did not double them, which I know other checkers have done. I said, "Well, that's money I am losing, that really stinks they don't double." She just aid, "That's how it works if I enter them." What??? Is Homeland's coupon policy on the website anywhere?
Soo...I paid $.75 for Masterpiece BBQ sauce and $1 for Roamn Meal. Ugh!
What would you do?

I would not buy them without the double coupon. They have entered mine in before by hand and just hit it twice to double the coupon. Never had a problem with it.

I know! Other checkers have doubled them by hadn for me too. Guess I should have asked her to take the items off my ticket and taken my coupons back. I was managing my two little ones which makes for difficult shopping.

I think she just didn't know how to do it...or was just too lazy.

They have to enter it a special way.. I know this because I had that problem once too, the checker said oops I entered it wrong so she entered it wrong again to make it "double" then she entered the rest of my coupons the right way.. they have to enter it as a variety coupon I think...

Or maybe it is that they can't enter it as a variety coupon.. Sorry, I don't exactly remember..

They should double if entered properly. This is the time to demand as manager.

I've had them manually enter Qs before and there's a button they can press to double it.

A lot of the cashiers do not know how to enter Q's properly.( Especially the newer ones)

It takes time to learn how to enter all the different kinds of Q's.
I would have just asked this particular cashier{Nicely) to call over a manager to help her( and so she would know how to do it in the future, Correctly)

Funny Story--
I was @ a HL the other day( not my regular one) and they had a new male cashier. He had scanned a couple of my regular Q's and they were Not Doubling.....and I asked him Why?
He said, "Your not supposed to double coupons!,,,Thats Crazy!"
Me--Omg ( LMAO quietly)
Me-- Nicely I asked him to STOP scanning my Q's and to call a manager over.
and while waiting..I explained, "It may be crazy, but that is why I shop here!"
Manager explains to him, that HL does double Q's, etc etc......this was all done in a nice manner. Manager tried to fix what the cashier had not done..but I still ended up paying $3 more than I should have. I let it go, Yes, I did. Reason?,,,,,I save so much $$ @ HL, that occasionally , a transaction does not work. And I do not want the Managers to remember me THAT WELL........

Hey there.. I know the cashier you got then! She tried that crap on me the other day too.. I said "yes they are suppose to double" and she said well they don't.. I immediately asked for a manager because it wasn't right.. She said "Well there is nothing they can do about it either" I said we'll see.. call them.. Of course after I explained what happened the manager got them to double without a problem.. next time don't be afraid to speak up.. after all its YOUR money..

Boy they hate to see me coming! I think that most of the cashiers at Homeland have decided it just easier to double the coupons when in question .. because they know me well enough that I always ask for a manager when there is a problem.. and hold up there line.. Oh well.. I abide by the rules and laws of couponing.. and they are going to offer the service of doubling.. then that is what I expect! Anyway.. jumping down off the soapbox!

Yes she definitely should have doubled the Qs manually if necessary.
