So, I know the inevitable here. I cashed in some of "mypoints.com" to receive a Lowes gift card. I also had a Lowes gift card from a fiasco of an order when we re-did our roof. I swore I'd never use them again but I had this darn gift card. Anyway, we just bought a range hood for our stove top. It doesn't fit and now I need to return it. Although I did pay the balance after the gift cards in cash, I'm assuming they are going to give me back the gift card dollar amount on yet another useless gift card. I do not want another Lowes gift card! Everything I do at that store has turned into a nightmare ... needless returns, rotten customer service, misinformed employees, you name it. THe roof was the last straw but dummy me, I went back for this range hood. Anyway I can talk them out of NOT giving me a gift card?

probably not...but you never know make sure you talk to the head honcho...i would call ahead of time and ask for the store manager and store manager only! See what he/she can do for you.

I would agree with the other two- I doubt they will give you anything other than another gc- but, you can try to sell it here on the FSOT forum. |

So, I took the advice and I called ahead to speak to a manager. He told me to speak with the administrative manager when I got to the store. I went to the store and spoke with the admin. manager and I got my cash back! Hooray! She looked up my prior transactions for which I didn't have a receipt for and took care of everything. This is the first positive experience I've had with Lowes. I was so happy I emailed Lowes and told them how fantastic she was!

Thanks for the update. Always worth it to ask- the worst someone can say is "no". Hope you have better Lowes experiences from here on out.
