| Hi, ![]() I spoke with a very nice lady in customer relations for H-E-B. She said they are not allowed to issue a formal coupon policy, but that they do have one that is for internal use only. She read the basic rules to me and they are as follows... (they're pretty much the same rules Staviles listed below):

Hi, OldTinGrl, hope you don't mind me posting this, but you can move it or delete it later when you get the official answer from corp, but wanted to share the following: I had called corporate a while back to get the coupon policy for my sister who just started couponing (she lives in South Texas). Here is what I was told: HEB accepts manufacturer coupon, but you cannot combine a manufacturer coupon with an HEB coupon, it is either/or. The man I spoke with said, you should use the higher value coupon (duh). He also called it "stacking" for trying to use a manufacturer coupon and HEB coupon together. HEB will not double or triple. HEB will accept an internet printable coupon as long as it states "manufacture coupon" on it and has the manufacturer's info listed on the coupon itself. I hope this helps you, if you don't get a response from them via e-mail, I would say call, that is what I did from the # on their website and that was the info that I was given.

HEB Coupon Policy Hi all, I am new to "A Full Cup" and loving it! This is part of the reply I received the other day from Suzanne in Customer Relations. So, look at those store coupons and if it should have an S instead of an M on it, you can stack it with a Manufacturer's coupon. Thank you for sharing your concerns about redeeming two coupons on one item. Sometimes we can take two coupons on one product, but only if one of the coupons is a "store coupon" designated by an S on the lower corner. Store Coupons can be scanned during the order, allowing for a Manufacturer's Coupon to be scanned at the end of the order. Most of the coupons offered in our stores are Manufacturer's Coupons designated by an "M" in the lower corner. We can only accept one Manufacturer's Coupon per item. If a coupon states redemption is restricted to one coupon per purchase, then we cannot accept an additional coupon on the item. Additionally, we can not accept multiple coupons that will result in a negative charge to the Customer. If there are no restrictions on either coupon, you can use two coupons on one item. I apologize for the confusion over the coupon redemption. Linda from South Texas

What HEB do you go to mommy2skie? My HEB's has never give me a problem with internet coupons. I frequent 2 between work & home. One is on the NW side the other on the SW side. Since there are tons of HEB's in SA, you might try going to the next closest store.

Not knowing HEB's coupon policy, I've stacked coupons in the past without a problem. I always thought the yellow coupons from the coupon boards were store coupons, so I stacked one of them with a manufacturer coupon for Colgate toothpaste. LOL. Ooops. But again, it was allowed, so I thought nothing of it. And this is the HEB I recently started frequenting after we moved, and they are the BEST. Their staff is SUPER friendly and EXCEPTIONALLY nice. The cashier pushed all my coupons through when they beeped. This leads me to my next question I've been itching to ask...I have Buy any Glad Fabric & Air Product and Get Windex Glass Cleaner Free coupon. I was going to combine this coupon with my $1.50 off Glade Fabric & Air coupon. Now that I've been schooled on their coupon policy, it sounds like it's a no go. BUT...it sounds to me as if the policy states one coupon per item. So essentially, the yellow coupon from the coupon board would be for the Free Windex, and my manufacturer coupon would be for the Glade. Yes? No? Maybe so? LOL. Any thoughts? Anyone...? Anyone?? Buehler?? LOL

Well, my advice is a "no". I say this because I got the coupon policy for the main office. If your store is doing things differently, my advice is to speak with the manager and see what they say. It'll either be yes or no. ![]()

Are their store coupons being done in cooperation with the manufacturers? Because then I'd understand why they won't allow stacking. But if their store coupons are pretty much the same as the items being on sale, except people not using the store coupons pay more, then wouldn't HEB get paid back from the manufacturer, and not be out money for allowing stacking?

Yes, the little yellow "store coupons" are manufacturer coupons, well, at least most of them are. If you look at the bottom of the coupons, you will see either an "S" for store coupon, or an "M" for manufacturer coupon. If it has an "S" you are allowed to combine this coupon with a manufacturer coupon...as it is a "store" coupon. If it has an "M", you may not use it with another manufacturer coupon, because this is considered stacking. At my store, most of the yellow coupons have an "M" at the bottom. HTH
