Okay, finally I got something right on this coupon thing. I am really new and so far the three attempts have not resulted in the savings I was hoping for. Could be because I also impulse buy . So I went to HEB and here is what it looked like

$2.18 - 8 Speed Stick Deodorants
$2 - 3 HEB Brand Cereals
Total: $23.44

-$3/3 on any HEB Brand Cereal (M Coupon ends 09/27/11)
-$1.20 on any Speed Stick (B Coupon ends 09/27/11)
-4 BOGO Speed Stick (M coupon ends 10/01/11) (limit 4 per transaction)

Total OOP: $2.30

So while not free that makes my cereals $0.77 each and the deodorants free. I am so happy ! I really should have listened to all the advice in the intro pages that say get used to one place at a time. I tried to do Walgreens, CVS (was kind of successful there) and Wal-Mart. The Walgreens and Wal-Mart in my area are NOT coupon friendly. Going to stick with HEB and maybe CVS for now!
Going back this afternoon to do it again my kids good through cereal quick and I can donate the extra speed sticks.

Great job! Definitely listen to those that have been doing this a while! I have learned so much from them. I made lots of mistakes in the beginning but don't let it discourage you!

i spent more money at the beginning. but, i think it was money well spent, since it taught me what not to do. i am pretty good at it now. i definitely learned from my own mistakes.
