Anyone do this? I'm spoiled by the hopping forums for other stores. I can't find anywhere online a site/blog that regularly posts good match ups. I'm a hawk with the weekly flyer but I find myself making less and less great sale+q type deals.

Wait, is this what an SLA is supposed to do? If we had one?

i wish there was more action on here about HEB. i am very new to this and want to learn some things, the only store i am close to is HEB.

So, are you familiar with HEB and the combo loco's, etc? I have a limited mental price book in my head, I follow the sales flyers and I buy meat in bulk when it hits below $1 per lb, unless it's ground beef then I wait for $1.49.

I do most of my super dealing at Target and CVS. It's easier to catch chatter about good sales plus links to available coupons or what date the newspaper came out.

Since discovering this site I've seen myself shopping less & less at HEB. They just don't offer the deals that Walmart, Target, CVS & Walgreens seem to have. They do have comparable prices but we can't combine their coupons with manufactures (like Target) since they consider their store coupons to be manufactures. They don't match prices (such as Walmart) & they don't offer a store cards or register reward type incentives (like CVS & Walgreens). I look at their ad every week & usually take it to Walmart & have the price matched there. I wish they had better deals.

ITA, texassaver. The yellow coupons are a biggie, as to why I shop there less. Instead of putting the darn product on sale, they put out the yellow coupon and you can't combine them with your coupons because all of their coupons are mfq's!! So annoying!

With that being said, I'll still post good deals if I find them. I dislike that this forum is not more lively but it's not our fault if HEB sucks. LOL

I did find one blog. Not too much on there. It's all the yellow coupons' fault.

Sometimes HEB does have great offers, but they aren't advertised. I ususally do a quick walk through while getting produce (they offer the best produce around here) and have found some really great "sale" prices that combined with a mq. Last week HEB had Cranenergy on sale for $2.68, the $1 mq made it $1.68 per large bottle.
