Here's my first trip. Pretty busy this morning, no signs of armed robbers unless you count all the couponers, some OOS (Jello Temptations, Morton's Season-All, Milkbites) already at 7:00 AM, boooooo! I did pretty well for not having a clear idea of what I wanted to go for first. I think the cashier had trouble with one of my IPs so instead of putting it in at the right price (i.e. - under $1), she manually entered it as a $1 q. Another of my q's didn't triple and I bought some non-q and non-triple items since we needed them (and I had to buy 6x Shamrock Farms milks as the husband would whine if he didn't get one when the kids did). As a result, my total is a bit higher than I was hoping for but eh, I'm not gonna quibble over a couple of bucks since I'm really happy with my deals today. Warning:
/rant on: the woman two people ahead of me at the register had two VIC cards with her and she was dithering over which items should go in which order. Naturally, the line was building up behind her...so the cashier rang up her first order then made her go to the back of the line. I really, REALLY dislike people who skirt the rules so this made my mean, petty little heart happy. Sorry if that upsets some of you out there, but c'mon - you're allowed ONE VIC card per household. If you want to use two VIC cards, fine but at least don't flaunt it in the faces of those of us playing fair. Walk yer happy butt out to your car with order #1 and come back and pay for order #2 separately. Harrumph. /rant off Day 1 1x Trix cereal - $2.50 + $.50/1 + $.50/1 ZVR = $.50 2x Reese's Puffs cereal - $2.50 + 2x $.60/1 = $.70 ea. 1x Morton's Season-All - $1.49 + $.55/1 = FREE 3x Dole pineapple chunks - $.99 + $.50/3 = $.49 ea. 2x Dole mandarin oranges - $1.69 + $.50/2 = $.94 ea. 2x Ball Park hot dog buns - $1.99 + 2x $.55/1 = $.34 ea. 1x Vlasic relish - $1.99 + $.75/1 = FREE 4x Eggo waffles - $1.79 + 2x $.75/2 = $.67 ea. 5x Yoplait yogurt - $.70 + $.50/5 = $.40 ea. 6x Shamrock Farms chocolate milk - $1.50 + 2x $.50/2 = $.50 ea. 2x International Delight creamer - $2.19 + 2x $.55/1 = $.54 ea. 4x Ball Park hot dogs - $3.99 + BOGO + 2x $.75/2 = $.87 ea. 2x Ball Park Angus hot dogs - $4.95 + BOGO + 2x $.75/1 = $.23 ea. ![]() 2x Kibbles 'n Bits dog food - $17.89 + BOGO + 2x $1/1 = $7.95 ea. 2x Nature's Own - $3.39 + BOGO = $1.70 ea. Total: $124.83 Coupons / evics / ZVR's: $80.48 OOP: $44.35 (should've been about $3 lower...oh well)

My husband is doing day 1 since I'm about to go out of town for a final interview... I don't know if I'm more nervous about getting the job, or my husband grocery shopping... with a 2 yearold... with coupons... during a triples event! ACK! Hopefully he does as well as you ladies!

Ladies, I went to my usual, awesome cashier, who I chat with while I'm being rung up. I haven't scrunitized my receipt completely yet, and I only had one eye on the register...I don't think that the Season-All or the Meow Mix coupons tripled! Boo! They had the new "mysterious" bar codes. I need to do some more research/recon to see if those were the only ones, but I believe those were two culprit of my OOP being higher than expected. Just wanted to give you all a heads up.

BUSY this am, before I got there at 10 (DDs ortho appt went much longer than anticipated) ![]() My first 5 ITEMS were OOS I wanted! FYI.........the SODAs on the EL were not updated from last weeks prices, so lots of CS calls to registers early today I was told my one employee OOP $ 6.66 for 20 items.........will post shortly w/pic ![]() My bread is past expiration I see now, so will have to return...and it was already free (check your dates)My store did not have the Wasa LIGHT N CRISP on the shelf.........not even a place for it anymore ~ but was in the ad for $1.99 find them??????(1) Mentos Gum $1.50/1 - $ .55/1 insert = FREE (1) Nature's Own Honey Wheat Bread $1.69 - $ .75/1 insert (regional) = FREE (2) Dole Frozen Fruit cups $2.00/1 - (2) $ .75/1 All You Magazine coupons = FREE (1) Heluva Dip $1.50/1 - $ .50/1 IP = FREE (2) Glass Plus BOGO $2.99/2 - (2).50/1 IPs = FREE (1) Simply Lemonade $1.25 - $ .50/1 tearpad = FREE (1) Quaker Medley $1.99 - $ .50/1 insert - ZVR = FREE (2) Vlasic Pickles $2.39/1 - (2) $ .75/1 inserts = $ .14 each (2) Philly Cooking Creme $2.50/1 - (2) $ .75/1 IPs = $ .25 each (2) French's Onions $2.65 - (2) $ .75/1 inserts = $ .40 each (2) Cool Whip $1.99/1 - (2)$ .50/1 IP = $ .49 each (1) Hungry Jack Pancake Mix $2.89 - $ .75/1 booklet = $ .64 (I think, coupon was from the Lowe's booklet you all get in NC ![]() (1) Ball Park Angus $5.85 BOGO Price $2.92 - $ .75/1 insert = $ .67 (1) Kleenex hand towels $2.99/1 - $ .75/1 insert = $ .74 $ 50.92 coupons/EVIC/ZVR $ 6.10 + .54 tax = $ 6.66 (I get a total of $4.64 instead of $6.10, but 20 coupons scanned & tripled ~ I'm $1.44 off ~ my math sucks) ![]() Will get refund for bread of $1.69 + free loaf ![]() Quote:
IMHO..........Rant all you like about using TWO cards at same time, cause I agree it should not be allowed!! My store is AWESOME on most everything, but NO WAY they would allow this!! If you want to get one order, take it outside, then come back in......that is up to you. I have occasionally shopped for my elderly, widowed neighbor in the past, and CS knows me (and might even allow me to do his right after my transaction). BUT, I get my order, Take it out to the car, come back in and get his. I don't think my store would allow anyone to use 2 different cards for 2 different transactions at the register. They would tell you "go ahead, call customer service.......it against the store policy & it's not FAIR to other customers".

I gave him $2 for my goods and his trouble.) SIL Card (different HT) 1 Trix 1 Nestle Raisinets 3 Gain Dish Soap 4 Ortega Taco Seasoning 4 Dove Singles 3 MH Blackeyed Peas 1 French Fried Onion 2 Welch's Chillers (.75/1 Q from writing to company - free) 2 Jello Pudding 2 Xtra Detergent 3 Heluva Good Dip Spent: $7.02 Saved: $45.10 If you have a Farm Fresh in your area they have the Smart Balance Spreadable Butter on sale for $1! It's free with the $1/1 Q that was in a recent insert, and also everytime I buy one I get a CAT for either .50/1 or $1/2 which equals more free butter since they double! I've gotten 8 so far! I got to the first HT at 7:15am, Jello Temptations, Mardi Gras, Dole Crisps, Gain Dish Soap, French Fried Onions all OOS. I took the last Tyson too. I told my borther to order some more. I'm sure the Mardi Gras will be OOS the entire week, they were last time which is why I still have a ton of Qs for them. My goodness though, I just cannot get there any earlier with 2 small kids, even getting there when i did I have to get up at 5:30am!
