I live in the Virginia Beach area and NEVER EVER find wine tags, rebates or even tear pads at my stores. Has anyone had any luck in the area with this? If so, which stores? I'd love to be able to get some... It is getting pretty frustrating to see all the great deals and constantly be missing out on them!

Nope, I never find them either. Actually, I'm always reading about HT shoppers who find peelies on items and sometimes tear pads. Never find those either

WT's are getting rarer and rarer. In my store now they seem to be giving them to the employees and getting them to hand them out as they see fit. I think they got tired of people going through the wine section and wiping them out. I had the lady in the deli cheese section give me one one day when I was looking at cheeses for $1/1 cheese and another day I had the butcher hand me one for $2 off beef when he saw me looking at the roasts. Plus, they both had expiration dates of that day or the next day. I think I have only once ever gotten a rebate form from HT.

I think this sounds bad but check Food Lion and/or Lowes' Food... I have much better luck there

at our Farm fresh in Newport News we have to ask customer service for them. They have a box behind the customer service desk. Makes it a true pain the the butt!

Wine tags have gotten very rare at my local Harris Teeter too. In the past, I could find some great ones on meat, cheese, etc. I can't remember the last time that I saw one there though! I sometimes find rebates, but not often, maybe 1-2 a month. I'm always on the look-out!

I'm in NC, but I talked to a local beer distributor about this. We used to find rebates all the time and now it is a rare find. I was told that rebates are distributed based on sales. If sales are low (in a particular region) they don't put out the rebates. They told me that is why some areas have them (better sales) and other areas don't. I talked to an actual beer guy in the store one day and he told me he gets them from time to time, but it doesn't benefit him to put them out, but it takes up his time....so he doesn't bother....SIGH! I ask him if he'd put them out for me and a week later there was a stack of coupons (not even good ones at that), but I guess at least he tried. Every time I'm in a store and I spot a beer guy, I nicely ask if he has any rebates I could get a copy of.....9 times out of 10 the answer is "not today", but ONCE (just once) a guy ran out to his truck and brought me in a few coupons.

Also some store managers tell the vendors NOT to put them out. THey say it "clutters" their store. In a nearby town the HT there did not allow rebates to be left out. Ask your store manager if they allow the vendors to leave coupons/rebates for alcohol....that might be the problem too.

I have the best luck at the FL in China Grove. Never find them at HT.
