So, hit HT in Burlington, NC at 7 AM-ish this morning and it was pretty quiet. The sale this time around isn't great and I think a lot of the people who were watching the TLC show have realized it really doesn't work like that, so they've stopped clogging up the aisles (yes, I know I sound like a grumpy old man...now get off my lawn). Already there were some OOS - I got the last the ICBINB sticks. I did find a few Tums Freshers on an endcap near the registers but there weren't many. The stupid Gold Peak tea STILL isn't in, grrrr. And the Kraft Homestyle mac & cheese? Long gone. ![]() Overall, pretty good though. Had to buy a few non-q items because we needed them (or in the case of my husband, cookies because he was whining last night about not having any). Very happy about the Centrum ProBiotics - $13.99 but paid $3.99, yay! On the downside, HT owes me $2 because two of my coupons weren't doubled, grrr! Day 1: 4x Emerald nuts - $6.99 BOGO, 2x $1.50/2 = $1.94 ea. 4x Milo's Kitchen dog treats - 2/$5 RC + 2x $1.25/1 + 2x $1/1 =$.25 ea. 1x Bumblebee Premium tuna pouch - $1.79 + $1/1 = FREE 2x Johnson's Baby Powder - $2.99 + 2x $1/1 = $.99 ea. 2x Eggo waffles - $2.59 + 2x $1/1 = $.59 ea. 2x Country Crock spread - $2.19 + 2x $1/1 = $.19 ea. 1x ICBINB sticks - $2.65 + $1.25/1 = $.15 2x Promised Land chocolate milk - $2.50 + 2x $.65/1 = $1.20 ea. 2x Nivea Shimmer lip care - 2/$3 RC + 2x $1/1 = FREE 2x Tums Freshers - $2.99 + 2x $1.50/1 = FREE 1x Centrum ProBiotics - $13.99 + $5/1 + $5/1 ZVR = $3.99 1x Keebler candy cookies - $3.89 1x cheapo Merlot - $3.39 1x Nature's Own bread - $1.99 2x Hungry Man dinners - $3.89 BOGO OOP: $34.67 (should've been $32.67) evics / ZVRs / q's: $77.52

Also, I just noticed that the Starbucks coffee did not ring up correctly. They charged me $13.98 for two instead of $5.97 ea.

ooooo yaaaay for double Zvrs on the softner! I wonder if I should try for TWO softners then? Decisions, decisions Anyway, DH is feeling terrible because of pollen so didnt go to work. I asked if he could wait while I went in to get perishibles, especially SB milk, since the Qs expire today! He wanted to go in, which I thought would be ok, but he got REAL grumpy when my cashier messed up the tx and had to void and start over. Said his head was hurting and WHY did it take so long. Im very happy though, because this is what I did: 3x SB milks + RC for 2/$6 = FREE I got this RC a while back and it works out better than the BOGO RC, less 'fiddling' to get the free. 3x SB Butter tubs = FREE, one for each milk I bought 2xICBINB + 1.25/1 = 2 FREE 1 Hillshire Farm Sausage + $1/1 Q from Package + $1.50 ZVR = .50 cents sooo total out of pocket was....$1.15 (I think that has to be tax?) Im sooo happy we were out of any kind of butter and milk always goes quickly in our house. I go back for all the rest of the Frees later today. |

The insert Qs are only doubled up to the value ... For example, if the item is $1.97 and you use a $1 Q ... it will only give you $1 and $0.97 which makes the item FREE ... no overage. |

Don't know if you can get HT to refund you the $2 for that. I don't think they will force double coupons that are coded that way. |

Maybe someone will eventually figure out how the bar code is reading when the coupon does not double. It would have to be a consistant code with all the coupons I would think. Maybe we will figure it out, it is not good to buy a product, thinking it will double and not know if it will until you reach the register
