I love shopping at Harris Teeter because fruits and vegetables are so expensive. At a couple stores in the triangle they bag and mark down some of the produce. They still look good but I guess the store finds them too ripe to sell at regular price. It's great if you are going to cook them up that night or use them for salad.

I used to get way better produce when I lived in NY for sooooo much less. It's really a shame but I hardly ever buy it unless its a good sale or I really need it.

Why is it so expensive here?
