They freeze fine. I have about 6 in my freezer now. Just make sure you take them out at least a day before needed, sometimes two.

I've frozen this plenty of times, but I usually transfer it into a gallon jug, or even a 2L bottle & much like regular milk, take about a cup out

No. They will not. They will swell a bit but thats it. I have mine frozen for about 2 months now. I defrost them in the fridge. Takes about 2-3 days so plan ahead.
