Oh, I'm excited about the Smart balance milk too! One of the women at work gave me alot of extra inserts with the 1.50/1 cpn. I bet they'll run out fast!

SMART BALANCE MILK DOES NOT FREEZE WELL!! It curdles. Lost five 1/2 gals freezing. Plastic containers do freeze well, unless they split so I freeze gals of milk regularly.

My store ran out fast the first day...I got their at 8am just to buy the Smart Balance Milk w/a RC last time and I got the last 3!!! It got re-stocked 1 TIME after that and then they never got it back in cause EVERY store wanted it!

It does have a longer shelf life than regular milk......usually 4 - 6 WEEKS

That's interesting that it curdles for you. I have frozen the smart balance milk a lot but have not had that happen. When I open one carton, I take another one out of the freezer to start defrosting. Then in a couple days, when we need it, it's defrosted.

I have had a problem with the Smart Balance curdling very fast after defrosting as well.

Maybe it depends on the kind? I get the Lactose Free for DH (and me), and I also have had no problems with freezing it and using it after. SO glad they make a lactose free version - Lactaid is $4 a half-gallon regular price!!!
