Help Sign How are they with mistakes?

Just came back from a shopping trip, did good but when I went back over my receipt, there were several mistakes. My Cinn. Toast Crunch didn't ring up right as well as a couple other items, and some of my ZVR's didn't come off.

Do I need to take the stuff with me and go back, or just the receipt...or should I call them, do I need printouts of the online ad...help!!

Plus, I did the Swanson thing and the Catalina didn't print, do I just need to get in touch with the Cat ppl or can HT do something about that?

If I have one HT complaint it's that there are so many items on sale that are NOT on the flyer, and then there were so many items that the shelves were not tagged properly. This was a first (tag problems) for me and it was frustrating!

I wouldn't normally fuss, but this is over $10 worth of errors!

You should be fine just taking your receipt back. They should have a paper ad available, but if it's form your ZVR's I'd take a printed list or something showing you had that. HT may reimburse you for the catalina, but unless it's printed in the ad (I don't know about the Swanson one) they sometimes know nothing about it and you're better off calling the catalina co.

I had the same problem with the catalina not printing. Plus the cashier splayed out my coupons and was scanning them with 3 at a time in his hand. I need to go back through and see what was missed I know 1 campbell slow kettle but think he rang up another an extra time. It was a bit crazy. Next time less qs and more transactions.

ohhhhh, this drives me crazy! I've only had it once or twice at HT but many times at Target. I feel like they just scan the area a few times with the gun and hope they caught most of them. You know they have no idea what was picked up.

I had to go back in because there was a tag on the shelf for an item being priced on sale, but it didn't ring up that way. Turns out the tag was from the last week's sale but they gave me the difference anyway. I was also told on here that if it rings up wrong they are suppose to give you the product free. I haven't tried that yet, but someone told me that was their policy.

My cashier was a little messy with the coupons and said that she scanned one and it didn't come off and she put it to the side and called it the 'doesn't work' pile and then picked it up and tossed it in the already processed pile. I'm not shy, I called her out on it and made sure she got it and the others that weren't working.

Thanks for the feedback, I'm going to call or stop by tomorrow and see what they do. I need to figure out who works when, I'm usually there when some super nice supervisors are there and today the sup acted annoyed to have to deal with me. Oh well, my $132 in savings (soon to be more) is worth it!

That policy is meant for when an item advertised on sale rings up incorrectly. You are supposed to get the item for free. In this case it was incorrectly tagged so it actually rang up correctly, it was the tag that was wrong. Small difference, but I'd guess that's why they only gave you the difference.

Hmmm...so does that 'free item' policy mean that since my Cinn Toast Crunches that rang up regular price instead of 2/$5, I'll get two free boxes of it? Do they adjust the price on what they rung up wrong and the free product??

Not 100% certain, but I remember most people reporting that if they had bought more than one of the item that rang up wrong they were given the first one completely free and refunded the difference on the rest.

Actually the policy states that "If an item scans higher than the shelf tag or sign, you will receive one like item free" (http://www.harristeeter.com/promotio...on_policy.aspx) Ive received several items free bec the shelf tags were out of date. The policy dont mention it but it also incl prices advertised in their circular or email.

The first item will be free and you'll be refunded the difference on the second.

For some reason you have to spesficially ask them to apply the scan guarentee bec in most cases they will only offer you the difference (same thing at Lowes Foods and Kroger)

Sweet! I guess I usually just hear about items not ringing up at the correct sale price. Hmm, I'll pay more attention to old shelf tags from now on. ;-) Thanks!

Back when they had the Fish Taco Meal Deal I did it early in the morning the first day and the scanned prices of the four items did not match the sale. The manager gave me a FULL refund for all of it!

My store give it to you if the tag on the shelf is wrong. I got a free 8 pack of Bounty papertowels once because they forgot to take the tag down. I've done this lots of times when the shelf tag was wrong and they always give me one product free and if I have others of the same product, they give me the price difference back.

Yep - that's what I do. But sometimes those sneaky little tags don't have the sale dates on them so you don't know if it'll ring up right or not.

I have had a problem twice in the last two weeks with my cpns not being scanned properly. Both times the CS people were very helpful and apologized for the error. The first time she went to the register and brought back the cpns and I could show her the ones that weren't on the receipt. The second time they just took my word and gave me back the $3.00 for the 3 $1.00 cpns that had not been scanned. Both times I had a typed list with the sale price of the item as well as the number of cpns I was using and the value of each cpn. I find HT to be one of the best stores for making sure the customer leaves satisfied.
